Jorge “El Conquistador” Rivera vs Rob “The Rosedale Reaper” Kimmons

Round 1:
Kimmons opened the fight with punches and shot in for a takedown, but Rivera stuffed it. Kimmons clinched against the cage, but Rivera backed away and scored with a lead right hook. He backed Kimmons up and landed an uppercut, then followed with a series of quick combinations of punches.

Rivera punished Kimmons with huge right hooks, but Kimmons stayed on his feet. He looked to counter Rivera’s punches with looping hooks, but missed wildly. Kimmons clinched and managed to score a takedown. He landed some decent strikes to close out the round, but it was not enough to steal it. 10-9 Rivera.

Round 2:
Kimmons once again rushed forward and clinched in the second round, but Rivera countered with knees to the body. Rivera scored a partial takedown, but Kimmons quickly rose to his feet. Rivera dropped him with an uppercut and teed off with big punches from the top. More punches landed for Rivera, who had Kimmons in trouble.

Kimmons weathered the storm, but Rivera’s striking was relentless and he continued to land at will from top position. Rivera stood up, then dove back in with two lunging right hands. With just over 30 seconds to go, Rivera allowed Kimmons to stand up and Kimmons managed to land some solid strikes in a clinch before the bell. 10-9 Rivera.

Round 3:
Rivera immediately dropped Kimmons with a huge punching flurry in the final round and landed more punches on the ground, but Kimmons held on. Rivera worked from Kimmons’s guard and landed hard right hands as Kimmons began to bleed all over the place. Time was called to check Kimmons’s cuts, but the fight resumed. However, it was all over seconds later when Rivera unleashed another barrage of punches and the referee stopped the fight. Very good performance from Rivera.

Winner: Jorge Rivera by TKO (Punches) at 1:53 of round three. He improves to 17-7-0.

The fight returned to the feet and Struve scored a takedown. He blasted Gormley with punches and hammerfists from the top and the referee nearly stopped the fight.
