Shinashi battles South Korean teen Ye Jin Jung in a 45kg bout on the card.

Deep officials announced the fight on Monday. Shinashi was one of MMA’s top pound-for-pound female fighters prior to leaving the sport in late 2008 in order to focus on family life. The diminutive grappler seeks her 30th career victory when she takes on 15-year-old kickboxer Jung this Sunday night.

Claudia Gadelha vs Joanna Jędrzejczyk Booked For UFC On FOX 13Undefeated strawweight stars Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha and Joanna Jędrzejczyk are set to collide in a top contender’s bout on December 13th at UFC on FOX 13: “Dos Santos vs Miocic.” The FOX-televised fight card is scheduled to take place at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

UFC officials confirmed plans for the matchup on Friday following an initial report from MMANews.pl. BJJ black belt Gadelha kicked off her UFC career with a Unanimous Decision victory over Tina “Jelly Bean” Lähdemäki in July. Jędrzejczyk defeated Juliana “Ju Thai” de Lima Carneiro at UFC on FOX 12.

Emi Tomimatsu To Face Hyo Kyung Song At Road FC 19 In SeoulFormer Deep Jewels Interim Lightweight Champion Emi Tomimatsu is set to make her Road FC debut on November 9th at Road Fighting Championship 19 in Seoul, South Korea. Tomimatsu faces off against South Korean striker Hyo Kyung Song in a featured strawweight bout on the event’s main card.

Road FC officials announced the matchup earlier this week. Tomimatsu became the first Deep Jewels 114-pound champion in February, but she lost the belt to Mizuki Inoue in an August rematch. Song most recently picked up her first pro MMA victory by stopping Hazuki Kimura at Road FC 16.

Dudieva Out, Holly Holm Meets Raquel Pennington At UFC 181A planned bout against Milana Dudieva failed to come to fruition, but former top-ranked boxer Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm will still make her Octagon debut on December 6th at UFC 181: “Hendricks vs Lawler 2” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Holm now meets TUF 18 alum Raquel “Rocky” Pennington.

UFC officials announced the bantamweight fight on Friday. Holm has yet to taste defeat in her mixed martial arts career and she has knocked out six of her seven foes. Pennington rose to prominence during a stint with Invicta FC and her time on TUF 18, and looks to rebound from a close loss in March.

Jessica Aguilar To Face Kalindra Faria At WSOF 15 In FloridaWSOF Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica “Jag” Aguilar is set to make the next defence of her title on November 15th at World Series of Fighting 15 in Tampa, Florida. Aguilar faces top-ranked Brazilian contender Kalindra Faria, who has won 11 straight fights and makes her WSOF debut.

USA Today Sports first reported on plans for the title fight today. Aguilar captured the 115-pound WSOF title in January and retained the belt with a Unanimous Decision win in June. Faria has torn through the competition in Brazil and she is now one of the strawweight division’s fastest rising stars.

Colleen Schneider, Cheryl Chan Victorious At Super Fight League 35Super Fight League women’s flyweight champ Colleen “The Thoroughbred” Schneider captured her second SFL title on Saturday night at Super Fight League 35 in Tacoma, Washington. Schneider defeated King of the Cage champion Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales in the one-sided co-main event.

Super Fight League’s lacklustre U.S. debut on Saturday also featured a second women’s bout on the preliminary card. In a 120-pound catchweight fight, Cheryl “Kid Kaos” Chan earned her first professional victory with a third-round submission of an overmatched “Relentless” Hadley Griffith.
