Emi Fujino, Mika Nagano Among Winners At Deep Jewels 1Former Jewels title challenger Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino survived early scares and emerged victorious in the Deep Jewels 1 main event tonight at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. Fujino used a rear-naked choke to defeat South Korean challenger Hyo Kyung Song in the late stages of round two.

Fujino’s one-time Jewels foe, Mika “Future Princess” Nagano, picked up her fourth straight victory on tonight’s card when she submitted Akiko “Betiko” Naito. Both Fujino and Nagano will compete in the Deep Jewels lightweight title tournament, which is set to begin at Deep Jewels 2 on November 4th.

Sexton will face off against Brazil’s Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade in a bantamweight bout on the card.

Tyra Parker Submits Michele Gutierrez At Dakota FC 16Georgia native Tyra “The Honey Badger” Parker evened her pro MMA record with an impressive win tonight at Dakota FC 16: &#8220Fall Brawl 2013” in Fargo, North Dakota. Parker submitted Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez with a slick armbar early in the second round of their featured flyweight matchup.

Tonight’s bout marked only the second time that Parker had seen round two in her pro MMA career. She picked up right where she left off following a dominant opening five minutes and got the one-sided fight back down to the mat early in the second round, where she locked on the fight-ending armbar.

Rin Nakai vs Tara LaRosa Announced For Pancrase 252 CardBantamweight Queen of Pancrase Rin Nakai is set to take on her toughest opponent to date on September 29th at Pancrase 252: “20th Anniversary” in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Nakai will face former BodogFight champion Tara LaRosa in a bantamweight bout that was officially announced today.

Nakai is coming off of a first-round submission victory over King of the Cage titleholder Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales in May. Long-time contender LaRosa’s three-fight winning streak was snapped in her October Invicta FC debut. Officials did not specify whether Nakai’s belt would be on the line.

Jessica Eye Signs With The UFC, May Face Sarah KaufmanFresh off of her release from Bellator, Jessica “Evil” Eye has signed on as the latest addition to the UFC women’s bantamweight roster. The popular Ohio native could next face former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman at UFC 166: “Velasquez vs dos Santos 3” on October 19th in Houston, Texas.

Eye’s UFC signing was initially reported by OHMMA and the fight against Kaufman was noted this evening during UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 2. A date and event were not announced for the planned Eye-Kaufman fight, but MMARising.com has learned that UFC 166 will likely play host to the bout.
