Fresh off of impressive stoppage victories this past month, Joanne “JoJo” Calderwood and Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade are set to collide in a featured matchup on September 10th at UFC 203: “Miocic vs Overeem” in Cleveland, Ohio. UFC officials announced the strawweight bout today.
Calderwood secured her second straight UFC victory in a one-off flyweight bout on June 18th when she finished Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau at UFC Fight Night 89. Andrade made a successful strawweight debut on June 4th when she destroyed former Invicta FC champ Jessica Penne at UFC 199.

Former Invicta FC champion Michelle “The Karate Hottie” Waterson looks to make it two-for-two inside the UFC Octagon when she returns to action on September 3rd at UFC Fight Night 93: “Arlovski vs Barnett” in Hamburg, Germany. Waterson squares off against Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly.
UFC officials announced the strawweight matchup this morning. Waterson has not fought since winning her UFC debut at the TUF 21 Finale one year ago. Daly has won three of her past four fights, and she most recently dominated prospect Ericka Almeida at UFC Fight Night 76 in October.

With undefeated prospect Manjit Kolekar sidelined due to visa issues, Deep Jewels Strawweight Champion Mizuki Inoue has stepped in to compete on July 29th at Invicta Fighting Championships 18 in Kansas City, Missouri. Inoue is set to face the returning Lynn “Lights Out” Alvarez on the card.
Invicta FC officials announced the change on Thursday. Inoue has racked up three straight wins including a January submission victory over Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman at Invicta FC 15. Veteran Alvarez now makes her first appearance for Invicta FC since the promotion’s third event in 2012.
