Atomweight rising star Mina Kurobe earned the biggest victory of her career in the main event of Deep Jewels 14 today in Tokyo, Japan. Kurobe put together a strong performance en route to a Unanimous Decision win over former Deep Jewels title challenger Saori “Shooting Star” Ishioka.
The Deep Jewels 14 co-main event also featured a significant upset, as atomweight prospect Tomo Maesawa finished former Deep Jewels Interim Strawweight Champion Emi Tomimatsu with a third-round rear-naked choke. At 125, former boxing champ Emiko “Fujin” Raika defeated Jin Hee Gan.

Deep Jewels showcased its 14th all-female fight card on Thursday afternoon at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. Deep Jewels 14 was headlined by an atomweight contender’s bout between popular promotional veteran Saori “Shooting Star” Ishioka and highly-touted rising star Mina Kurobe.

An injury has forced Brazilian standout Poliana Botelho out of her upcoming strawweight bout with Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau at UFC 206: “Cormier vs Johnson 2” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Létourneau now faces undefeated XFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Viviane “Sucuri” Pereira on the card.
UFC officials announced the change this week. Former UFC title challenger Létourneau drops back down to the strawweight division following a TKO loss in a one-off flyweight bout in June. Pereira, one of MMA’s top female prospects in any weight class, makes her long-awaited Octagon debut.

Shoot Boxing Women’s Flyweight Champion Rena Kubota makes a quick return to action when she competes on November 11th at the 2016 Shoot Boxing World S-Cup in Tokyo, Japan. Kubota, who earned her second MMA win this past month, faces Brazilian star Kinberly Novaes in the main event.
Shoot Boxing officials announced the fight during a press conference today. Kubota, a four-time Girls S-Cup tournament winner, retained her 51kg title in July by stopping Klaudia Pawicka. Novaes, who has held multiple MMA titles, makes her shoot boxing debut in the featured fight next month.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis is set to make her long-awaited return to action on December 3rd at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. Davis squares off against a fellow former UFC title challenger, Olympic medallist Sara McMann, in a bantamweight bout.
UFC officials announced the fight today. Davis took a lengthy hiatus from fighting following a big victory in April 2015 due to the birth of her first child. McMann recently halted a two-fight losing skid with a lacklustre decision win over former training partner Jessica “Evil” Eye at UFC Fight Night 88.
Two-time Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup winner Mio Tsumura faces a familiar foe in her most high-profile fight to date on November 11th at the 2016 Shoot Boxing World S-Cup in Tokyo, Japan. Tsumura battles rival Akari “Union” Nakamura for the Shoot Boxing Women’s Minimumweight Championship.
Shoot Boxing officials announced the inaugural 48kg title fight earlier today. Tsumura has defeated Nakamura on three occasions in the past, with the most recent victory coming via a razor-thin extra-round Majority Decision in the finals of this year’s Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup tournament in July.

Invicta Fighting Championships has booked a pair of title fights for its next all-female event on November 18th in Kansas City, Missouri. Invicta FC 20 is headlined by an Invicta FC Bantamweight Championship bout between Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger and challenger Yana “Foxy” Kunitskaya.
Invicta FC officials announced the main event bout today, along with the remainder of the eight-fight card. In the co-feature, Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Angela “Overkill” Hill defends her title against Kaline “The Dark Angel” Medeiros, who earned the shot by winning five straight fights.
Following a razor-thin defeat in February, Marion “The Belizean Bruiser” Reneau looks to get back on the winning track when she steps back into the cage on November 19th at UFC Fight Night 99: “Mousasi vs Hall 2” in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Reneau faces Milana Dudieva in featured action.
