Joel “El Fenomeno” Alvarez vs Thiago Moises

Round 1:
Alvarez landed a hard knee to the body and a leg kick in the opening 30 seconds. Moises countered with a big right hook that stunned Alvarez momentarily. He recovered and landed two knees to Moises’s upper body, followed by a right hand. He hurt Moises with a right hook and followed up with three standing elbows. Moises was clearly in trouble, but he managed to survive the onslaught and circled away to his left. Alvarez closed in with another barrage of elbows that opened a cut above Moises’s left eye. He then switched to uppercuts as Moises struggled to remain standing against the cage, and referee Marc Goddard stopped the fight.

Winner: Joel Alvarez by TKO (Elbows & Punches) at 3:01 of round one. He improves to 19-2-0.

 

Andrea “KGB” Lee vs Cynthia Calvillo

Round 1:
Lee jabbed and landed two counter uppercuts early in the fight as Calvillo looked to close the distance. Lee prevented Calvillo from clinching and she resumed landing jabs and leg kicks from a distance. Calvillo flurried to the body and tried for a takedown, but Lee easily defended. Both women began to bleed from the nose as a result of the other’s jabs. Lee finished a combination with a body kick, but Calvillo caught it and tripped her. She took Lee’s back as Lee stood up and held her against the cage. Lee broke free with 25 seconds remaining and she landed leg and body kicks before the bell. 10-9 Lee.

Round 2:
Lee hurt Calvillo with a liver kick early in the second round and she followed up with a hook to the body and a knee to Calvillo’s face. Calvillo recovered and circled away, but Lee kept the pressure on her with two more body kicks and an uppercut. She remained effective with her jab and prevented Calvillo from landing much of anything. Calvillo tried to clinch and Lee had none of it. She scored with another uppercut and a body kick. Calvillo kept trying to jab at Lee’s stomach from a distance, with no success at all, and Lee continued to land body kick after body kick. A left hand from Lee opened a cut below Calvillo’s right eye. Lee finished the round with a right cross to Calvillo’s face. 10-9 Lee.

Between rounds, Calvillo indicated that she did not want to continue and the fight was waved off.

Winner: Andrea Lee by TKO (Retirement) at 5:00 of round two. She improves to 13-5-0.

 

Sean “The Sniper” Woodson vs Collin Anglin

Round 1:
Woodson used his reach advantage to land a straight left hand early on, but Anglin used a leg kick to set up a combination and he backed Woodson up with more punches soon after. Woodson regained his footing and he threw a head kick followed by two hard punches. Anglin punched his way into a clinch and looked for a takedown, but Woodson stuffed it and he landed a knee to Anglin’s chest before separating from the clinch. Woodson landed long jabs and two leg kicks. He followed with a right hook and Anglin ducked into a head kick. Woodson hurt Anglin with a right hook to the body and he chased after him with punches as Anglin covered up against the cage. He survived the first onslaught, but Woodson hurt him again with a left hook to the liver. Woodson landed two more body shots and Anglin collapsed to the mat, ending the fight.

Winner: Sean Woodson by TKO (Punches To The Body) at 4:30 of round one. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey vs Liana “She Wolf” Jojua

Round 1:
Casey flurried with punches early in the fight and Jojua responded with an overhand right. Casey landed a front kick to her face and stepped forward with a one-two. She continued to score with combinations and repeatedly landed right hands over the top. Casey began to mix in kicks to Jojua’s lead leg and body. Jojua landed a front kick of her own, but Casey backed her up with more punches and Jojua began to bleed from her nose. She took Casey down in the final 35 seconds, but it was Casey who landed elbows from the bottom. 10-9 Casey.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange of punches and Casey landed two hard right hands. Jojua landed an overhand right, but she was unable to follow up and Casey continued to land at a greater volume. Jojua was effective with her jab, but Casey landed leg and body kicks. She threw a front kick, but Jojua caught it and dumped her to the mat. Jojua landed two upkicks to Jojua’s face before Jojua settled into Casey’s guard. Casey struck from the bottom with elbows and Jojua passed to side control just before the bell sounded. Closer round. Still 10-9 Casey.

Round 3:
Casey bloodied Jojua’s nose again with right hands in the final round. Jojua jabbed and tried to clinch, but Casey shrugged her off. She landed a stiff jab and Jojua answered with a right hook. Casey landed hooks to Jojua’s body and head, then finished a combination with a head kick. Casey stuffed another takedown and landed a front kick. Jojua briefly tied her up against the cage, but Casey landed a right cross after breaking free. Jojua finally took her down just before time expired. 10-9 Casey.

Winner: Cortney Casey by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 10-9-0.

 

Rafael “The Turn” Alves vs Marc “Bonecrusher” Diakiese

Round 1:
Time was called mere seconds into the fight when Diakiese was kicked hard in the groin. He was able to continue after a minute and the fight resumed. Alves landed a leg kick and grazed with a head kick attempt. Diakiese landed a strong leg kick of his own, but Alves stunned him with a jab and rushed in with a flying knee. Diakiese tried to take him down, but Alves locked on a tight guillotine choke on the way down. Diakiese had nowhere to go and tapped out immediately.

Winner: Rafael Alves by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:48 of round one. He improves to 20-10-0.

 

Da Un “Sseda” Jung vs Kennedy “African Savage” Nzechukwu

Round 1:
Both fighters jabbed used jabs to find their range during a cautious opening 75 seconds. Jung landed a left-right combo and Nzechukwu responded with a left cross. Jung fired off a series of right hooks and Nzechukwu blocked them with a high guard. Jung landed a slashing elbow that rocked Nzechukwu and backed him up against the cage. He closed in with more standing elbows that sent an unconscious Nzechukwu crashing face-first to the mat.

Winner: Da Un Jung by KO (Elbows) at 3:04 of round one. He improves to 15-2-1.
