Patrick “The Predator” Côté vs “Vicious” Bobby Voelker

Round 1:
Côté flurried to the head and body right away and Voelker answered with punches over the top. A combination backed Voelker up, but he regained his footing and clinched. Côté eventually backed away and both fighters landed hooks. Côté briefly took Voelker down, only for Voelker to reverse and score a takedown of his own. Côté tried for an armbar and a triangle choke from the bottom. He landed sharp elbows as well. Voelker managed to land a handful of punches, but Côté remained active from his back. 10-9 Côté.

Round 2:
Côté landed a big uppercut and a follow-up combination in round two, but Voelker held strong and fired back with punches of his own. Voelker landed leg kicks and left hooks that opened a cut above Côté’s right eye. Voelker punched his way into a clinch, but Côté reversed and teed off with punches. Voelker landed some solid strikes in return, but Côté kept the pressure on. Voelker backed Côté up to the cage with a lengthy flurry and he mixed in strikes to the body.

Côté circled out and ducked right into a pair of knees. Côté stayed on his feet and Voelker landed more knees in the clinch. Côté flurried to the body and finished a combination with a right hook. Voelker cut him again and landed a series of hooks over the top. Voelker threw Côté to the mat briefly. The round ended with Côté driving for a takedown after an exchange of power punches. Close second round. 10-9 Voelker.

Round 3:
Voelker rocked Côté with big punches in the final round, but Côté stayed up and answered with a combination in close. The fighters clinched against the cage and Voelker landed a knee to the body. Côté broke away with a standing elbow. Voelker blasted Côté with punches and a knee, but Côté held on and tried for a takedown. Voelker reversed and swept out Côté’s leg.

Voelker landed hammerfists from the top and opened up Côté’s cut again with elbows. He kept Côté pinned down and landed short left hands. Côté finally stood, but Voelker dumped him to the mat again. Côté attempted an armbar and Voelker punched free. Côté stood up momentarily and Voelker took him back down. He moved to half-guard and closed out the fight with punches and elbows. 10-9 Voelker.

Winner: Patrick Côté by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 19-8-0.

 

Darren “The Damage” Elkins vs Antonio “Pato” Carvalho

Round 1:
Elkins targeted the body with left hooks in the clinch early on. Carvalho fired back with right hands and broke free. He stuffed a takedown, but ate a right hand. Carvalho scored with a one-two as Elkins pushed forward in search of a takedown. Elkins clinched and landed a knee, but Carvalho circled out and attempted a head kick. Elkins rocked Carvalho with a right hook and Carvalho staggered backwards. Elkins closed in and landed a lunging right that dropped Carvalho to a knee. Carvalho immediately stood back up, but referee Yves Lavigne stopped the fight.

Winner: Darren Elkins by TKO (Punch) at 3:06 of round one. He improves to 16-2-0.

 

Jordan “Young Gun” Mein vs Dan Miller

Round 1:
The fighters exchanged left hooks early on and Miller took Mein down. Miller transitioned to an armbar and had Mein in trouble, but Mein managed to roll and escaped. He stood up and Miller followed. Miller landed a nice right cross and a leg kick. He followed with a body kick, but Mein dropped him soon after with a hard left cross. Miller recovered and returned to his feet. Mein jabbed and bloodied Miller’s nose with more punches. Miller fell and Mein battered him with more punches for the stoppage victory.

Winner: Jordan Mein by TKO (Punches) at 4:42 of round one. He improves to 27-8-0.

 

John “The Bull” Makdessi vs Daron “The Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank

Round 1:
The fighters traded quick kicks and jabs in the opening two minutes, but neither landed anything cleanly. Makdessi attempted a hook kick and Cruickshank replied with a spinning back kick that missed. Makdessi threw more kicks to the body and Cruickshank went high with one to the head that grazed. Time was called after Cruickshank was kicked in the groin. The fight continued and Makdessi attempted a flying switch kick. Makdessi missed with a spinning backfist and Cruickshank landed a spinning back kick to the liver. He followed with a standing elbow. 10-10.

Round 2:
More unorthodox kicks were exchanged in round two and Makdessi landed a nice one to Cruickshank’s lead leg. A step-in uppercut scored for Cruickshank, but Makdessi countered a spinning backfist attempt with a stiff jab. A spinning back kick landed for Makdessi and he avoided a spinning wheel kick from Cruickshank. Both fighters landed leg kicks and left hooks. Makdessi followed with a right that briefly backed Cruickshank up. The fighters traded axe kick attempts and Cruickshank followed with a head kick, side kick combo. Makdessi drilled him with a combination and a one-two late in the close round. 10-9 Makdessi.

Round 3:
Cruickshank opened the action with a right cross in the final round and Makdessi responded with a leg kick. Another hard right hand landed for Cruickshank and Makdessi briefly tripped him to the mat after catching a kick. Makdessi landed jabs and Cruickshank tried for a spinning wheel kick that partially landed. Makdessi countered a leg kick with more stiff jabs and a combination.

Cruickshank tried unsuccessfully for a takedown and wound up on his back. He stood and Makdessi landed punches and a spinning back kick. Time was called after Makdessi was poked in the eye. Action resumed and Makdessi was aggressive with punches. He avoided flashy kicks from Cruickshank and landed a combination and an uppercut. Both fighters landed punches in the final seconds. 10-9 Makdessi.

Winner: John Makdessi by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 11-2-0.

 

Rick “The Horror” Story vs Quinn Mulhern

Round 1:
Story landed a hard left cross and a big flurry of punches in round one. Mulhern fell to his back, but he recovered and got back to his feet. Story set up his punches with quick leg kicks. Mulhern began to find success with counter right hands. Story landed a looping left hook to the eye that forced Mulhern to backpedal. He swarmed on Mulhern with more punches and Mulhern dropped to the ground against the cage. Follow-up punches from Story finished the fight.

Winner: Rick Story by TKO (Punches) at 3:05 of round one. He improves to 15-6-0.

 

T.J. Dillashaw vs Issei Tamura

Round 1:
Dillashaw scored with a combination early in the fight and Tamura cracked him with a counter one-two. Dillashaw took Tamura down against the cage, but Tamura fought back to his feet. In the clinch, Dillashaw punched to the ribs and Tamura answered with knees. The fighters were separated and Dillashaw landed a grazing head kick. He connected with a knee and two right hands in the final 15 seconds. 10-9 Dillashaw.

Round 2:
Tamura ducked into a head kick from Dillashaw in round two that landed at the knee. A stunned Tamura fell to his back and Dillashaw unloaded with punches until the bout was stopped.

Winner: T.J. Dillashaw by KO (Knee & Punches) at 0:26 of round two. He improves to 7-1-0.

 

George “Money” Roop vs Reuben Duran

Round 1:
Roop landed a head kick early in the bout and the fighters exchanged looping hooks. A front kick from Roop backed Duran up to the cage. Duran wobbled Roop with a hard one-two. Roop recovered and threw a body kick, but Duran caught it and countered with a leg kick. He took Roop down and landed short elbows as Roop looked to set up a submission. Roop landed elbows of his own and attempted a triangle choke. Duran passed to half-guard shortly before the bell. 10-9 Duran.

Round 2:
Roop just missed with a knee in round two and Duran held him against the fence. Roop spun and looked to take Duran’s back. He dragged him to the mat and worked to set up a rear-naked choke. Duran scrambled free and stood up. He backed away and Roop threw a head kick. Roop countered a takedown with a guillotine choke attempt. He let it go and landed elbows from the bottom. Roop stood and Duran held him against the cage until the end of the round. 10-9 Roop.

Round 3:
Duran scored a brief takedown in round three, but Roop got back to his feet and landed a knee in close. He followed with more strikes to the head and body as the fighters battled for position. Roop landed uppercuts and knees while pressing Duran up against the cage. He took Duran down, but Duran scrambled up and the fighters resumed the clinch battle. Roop snuck in knees to the face in the final minute. 10-9 Roop.

Winner: George Roop by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 13-9-1.
