Cub Swanson vs George Roop

Round 1:
Roop just missed with a flying knee and a right hand early on. He landed a kick to the upper body and stayed on the outside while circling out of Swanson’s range. Roop landed a rushing one-two and a leg kick, then backed away. Swanson connected with a right hook, but missed with a head kick and Roop countered with a knee. Swanson unleashed a flurry of punches that hurt Roop, but he held on and clinched.

Roop put Swanson against the cage and fired off a combination of his own. Swanson looked to set up a quick combo and Roop kept him at bay with kicks. Swanson threw Roop to the mat with judo throw, but Roop scrambled to his feet. Time was called to replace his mouthpiece. Swanson backed Roop up with punches and Roop answered with a looping right hook. Roop fell and upkicked as Swanson stood over him and landed two right hands. Close round. 10-9 Swanson.

Round 2:
Swanson landed punches early in the second round and the fighters clinched one minute in. Both landed knees to the body and Swanson broke away with a right hand to the body. Roop rushed in with three punches and a head kick, but Swanson blocked all of the strikes. Swanson sent Roop crashing to the mat with a vicious right hook. Referee John McCarthy allowed the fight to continue and Swanson finished Roop off with punches on the ground.

Winner: Cub Swanson by TKO (Punches) at 2:22 of round two. He improves to 16-5-0.

 

Charles “do Bronx” Oliveira vs Eric “Little Lee” Wiseley

Round 1:
Oliveira landed leg kicks early on and tripped Wisely to the mat after catching a counter kick. Oliveira punched from the top and dropped down for a heel hook. Wisely spun to defend, but Oliveira took his back and triangled his leg around Wisely’s in a calf slicer position. He pulled back on Wisely’s body to incrase the torque on his leg and Wisely tapped out.

Winner: Charles Oliveira by Submission (Calf Slicer) at 1:43 of round one. He improves to 15-2-0, 1 NC.

 

Michael “The Menace” Johnson vs Shane Roller

Round 1:
The fighters traded punches early on and Johnson avoided Roller’s attempts to take the fight to the mat. Johnson threw punches in quick succession and landed strikes in a brief clinch. Roller continued to walk Johnson down, but Johnson punished him with counterpunches and landed a hard flurry against the cage. Roller broke away and tried for a takedown, but Johnson stayed up and landed another combination. He circled Roller with punches and rocked him with a flying knee in the final seconds. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 2:
Johnson opened the second round with one-twos and a leg kick. He clinched and landed knees, but Roller pushed him away and managed to land a quick flurry. Johnson tripped Roller and began working from the top with punches and elbows. The fighters stood and Roller scored with a nice one-two. He clinched, but Johnson fought him off with a standing elbow. Johnson backed Roller up with a succession of left hooks and stuffed a takedown. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 3:
Roller managed to drag Johnson to the mat early in the final round and took his back. Roller secured a body triangle and unloaded with punches, but was warned for strikes to the back of the head. The fight continued and Roller landed more punches and elbows. He rolled Johnson over and tried for a rear-naked choke. Johnson defended and Roller continued to throw punches. Johnson spun into Roller’s guard in the final minute and punches from the top. The fighters stood and time was called when Roller was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Roller landed punches. 10-9 Roller.

Winner: Michael Johnson by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 10-6-0.

 

Lavar “Big” Johnson vs Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran

Round 1:
Johnson hurt Beltran with a right hook to the body right away and clinched against the cage. He landed knees to the thigh and kept the pressure on with punches in close. Johnson landed leg kicks as well and Beltran remained on the defensive. Johnson continued to target the body with punches and kept Beltran at bay with jabs. The pace slowed down for a moment as the fighters circled, but they began to tee off in close. Beltran landed a combination, but Johnson backed Beltran up with a flurry against the cage and an uppercut sent beltran face-first to the mat.

Winner: Lavar Johnson by KO (Punches) at 4:24 of round one. He improves to 16-5-0.

 

Chris Camozzi vs Dustin Jacoby

Round 1:
Jacoby landed kicks early on and shrugged off a takedown attempt. Camozzi scored with punches and a body kick, but time was called after Jacoby was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and the fighters exchanged power punches. Jacoby looked to hold an edge, but time was called after Camozzi was struck low. The fight continued and Jacoby landed leg kicks and quick punches. He stayed out of Camozzi’s range and countered with jabs and a short hook. Jacoby avoided a takedown, but Camozzi briefly dropped him before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Jacoby.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange of wild punches and Jacoby missed with a jumping front kick. Camozzi landed a leg kick and a right hook. The pace slowed and Camozzi jabbed. He looked to put together kick-punch combos to varying degrees of success. Time was called after Jacoby was kicked in the groin. Both fighters landed punches after the restart and Camozzi got the better of the exchange. Jacoby answered with a nice uppercut. Another close round. 10-9 Camozzi.

Round 3:
The fighters traded punches in the final round and Jacoby began bleeding heavily from the nose. He landed a pair of body shots, but Camozzi tripped him with a leg kick. Jacoby stood up, but Camozzi locked on a guillotine choke and Jacoby was forced to submit.

Winner: Chris Camozzi by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:08 of round three. He improves to 16-5-0.
