Earlier in the night, Shoot Boxing postergirl Mina scored a much-needed Majority Decision victory over Date’s teammate, Nori. On Sunday night at Gladiator 75 in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, 17-year-old kickboxer Chihiro Imoto earned her 141st win by defeating Miyu Irie in a flyweight title fight.

Livia Renata Souza Submits Camila Lima At Talent MMA Circuit 12Undefeated strawweight rising star Livia Renata “Livinha” Souza scored a quick and impressive title victory tonight at Circuito Talent de MMA (Talent MMA Circuit) 12: “Campinas 2014” in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Souza submitted veteran Camila “Camilinha Pitbull” Lima in just 47 seconds.

Souza, who is already signed to Invicta FC and may debut for the promotion before the end of the year, made short work of Lima in tonight’s 115-pound championship co-main event. She countered an early clinch by jumping on Lima’s back and locking on a standing rear-naked choke for the tapout win.

Miesha Tate Defeats Rin Nakai At UFC Fight Night 52 In SaitamaFormer Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha “Cupcake” Tate took one step towards regaining contender status with a three-round decision victory tonight at UFC Fight Night 52: “Hunt vs Nelson” in Saitama, Japan. Tate outpointed Bantamweight Queen of Pancrase Rin Nakai.

Showcasing her improved striking, Tate took an early lead on the scorecards in tonight’s main card bout thanks to her superior standup skills and solid takedown defence. Nakai had greater success with takedowns in the latter rounds, but struggled to mount offence and tasted defeat for the first time.

Calderwood, ranked at number two in this season’s all-female strawweight cast, showcased her superior striking against the #15-ranked Kagan in the opening round. She took Kagan down in round two and maintained a tight inverted triangle choke for over three minutes to secure the decision win.

Jéssica Andrade Submits Larissa Pacheco At UFC Fight Night 51One of the bantamweight division’s top prospects, Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade, spoiled the Octagon debut of Jungle Fight champ Larissa Moreira Pacheco tonight at UFC Fight Night 51: “Bigfoot vs Arlovski 2” in Brasilia, Brasil. Andrade submitted Pacheco with her signature guillotine choke.

Pacheco, who turned 20 years old earlier this month, entered tonight’s main card bout on relatively short notice but with momentum on her side and an unblemished record.
