In a second female fight on Saturday’s card, former Shoot Boxing Japan Women’s Flyweight Champion Ai Takahashi rebounded from a loss in this year’s Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup 53.5kg final. Takahashi defeated veteran kickboxer Miyo Yoshida by Unanimous Decision in an action-packed bout.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight for UFC 167: “St. Pierre vs Hendricks.” The event was headlined by a much-discussed UFC Welterweight Championship bout between Georges “Rush” St. Pierre and Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks.

In the first female semi-final fight, Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Peña avenged a loss and scored the biggest victory of her career during Episode 11 of The Ultimate Fighter 18: “Team Rousey vs Team Tate” tonight. Peña submitted Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras with a second-round guillotine choke.
Tonight’s rematch between the Team Tate allies was more competitive than the pair’s first bout in April 2012, which Moras won after breaking Peña’s arm with an armbar. Peña held top position for most of the pivotal rematch and she bloodied Moras with elbows before submitting her with the choke.

Julie “Fireball” Kedzie has received a new opponent for her second fight in the Octagon on December 7th at UFC Fight Night 33: “Hunt vs Bigfoot” in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Kedzie now faces off against unbeaten Brazilian prospect Bethe “Pitbull” Correia, who makes her UFC debut.
UFC officials announced the change late on Tuesday night. Kedzie was originally set to face Aleksandra “Stitch” Albu, who withdrew from the card due to an undisclosed injury earlier this month. Correia has won all three of her fights this year and she moved up to the 135-pound division in June.

Strawweight prospect Amber “The Apex Predator” Stautzenberger faces her most experienced opponent to date on November 23rd at Xtreme Knockout 20 in Arlington, Texas. Stautzenberger is set to face off against Invicta FC veteran Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman in a 115-pound bout on the card.
Both fighters announced the matchup on Friday. Stautzenberger has won three straight fights this year and she most recently scored a Unanimous Decision victory over Glena “Heartless” Avila in April. Schuckman is 2-0 in 2013 and she is coming off of a 28-second submission victory in June.

The semi-final round of The Ultimate Fighter 18 began tonight and former Strikeforce champ Miesha “Cupcake” Tate’s team once again took the lead in the standings. Team Tate’s Chris Holdsworth earned a quick submission win over Michael Wootten, who represented Team “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.
Holdsworth’s victory was Team Tate’s fifth of the season, but team alliances will be tested during next week’s episode. In the second semi-final fight, Team Tate allies Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras and Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Peña face off in a rematch from the pair’s first fight in April 2012.

Jiu-jitsu ace Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis showcased her underrated striking skills en route to her fourth straight victory tonight at UFC Fight Night 31: “Fight For The Troops 3” in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Davis defeated former UFC title challenger Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche by Unanimous Decision.
In earlier action, Amanda “Lioness” Nunes earned her second UFC victory with another dominant first-round stoppage win. Nunes mounted multi-time Muay Thai world champion Germaine “The Iron Lady” de Randamie early in the fight and she rained down elbows until the brief bout was stopped.
