Insurance and liability issues continue to create havoc for the city of Vancouver, British Columbia and it appears that a planned UFC event in June will no longer take place in the city. The Canadian Press reported earlier today that UFC 115, tentatively set for June 12th in Vancouver, is likely off and will be moved to Cincinnati, Ohio.
Vancouver City Council passed a two-year trial period last December, but maintained concerns over liability issues in the event of an injury. As a result, it now appears that MMA’s return to Vancouver will be delayed.
The second round of the Freestyle Cage Fighting Women’s Bantamweight Grand Prix took place last night at FCF 40 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In a pair of competitive three-round decisions, Shayna “The Queen of Spades” Baszler and Jan “Cuddles” Finney were both victorious.

King of the Cage returned to HDNet tonight with another solid card at KOTC: “Legacy.” The event was headlined by a heavyweight clash between Mike “MAK” Kyle and Jon “Man of Faith” Murphy. Elsewhere, Tony Johnson captured the KOTC Heavyweight Championship by defeating Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez in a lopsided five-round bout.

Plans to hold Dream.14 in South Korea on April 24th have been cancelled after the promotion was unable to secure a Korean television deal for the event. Korean MMA site MFight first reported on the news today. There was no word on whether the debut DREAM card in Korea would be rescheduled.
