With just under two months to go before UFC 114: “Jackson vs Evans,” the Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed the full 11-fight lineup for the May 29th card. The event is headlined by a 205-pound grudge match between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Sugar” Rashad Evans.
Also announced for the pay-per-view portion of the card was a heavyweight tilt between undefeated rising star Todd Duffee, who is coming off of a crushing seven-second knockout win, and PRIDE veteran Mike Russow.
The main card of UFC 114 will feature fights in four of the promotion’s five weight classes. In addition to the Jackson-Evans headlining bout, a third former 205-pound champ will compete when Forrest Griffin tangles with Antonio Rogerio “Minotoro” Nogueira in an exciting light heavyweight matchup. Griffin is coming off of a close decision win in his much-hyped UFC 106 rematch with “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz, while Nogueira stopped Luiz “Banha” Cane in the first round on the same card.
In middleweight action, Michael “The Count” Bisping will look to rebound from his decision loss to Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva at UFC 110 when he faces ground ace Dan Miller. Todd Duffee will aim to follow up on his seven-second destruction of Tim “The Thrashing Machine” Hague when he takes on submission specialist Mike Russow in a heavyweight battle. The main card will be rounded out by an intriguing welterweight contest between undefeated British contender John “The Hitman” Hathaway and former Lightweight title challenger Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez, who returns to 170 pounds.
