Interim Strawweight Title Bout, More Fights Added To Deep Jewels 45The newly-vacant Deep Jewels Interim Strawweight Championship will be up for grabs on May 26th at Deep Jewels 45 in Tokyo, Japan. Si Woo “Korean Queen Bee” Park and Machi Fukuda will compete for the title in one of five additional matchups that were announced for the event this week.

Arisa Matsuda captured the interim championship in November with a narrow Split Decision win over Fukuda, but she has elected to vacate the title and is expected to be competing abroad during the coming months. Park won back-to-back fights for Deep and Deep Jewels this past year.

Rin Nakai vs Aoi Kuriyama Title Rematch Booked For Deep Jewels 45Deep Jewels Flyweight Champion Rin Nakai will make the next defence of her title against a familiar foe on May 26th at Deep Jewels 45 in Tokyo, Japan. Nakai will compete in a rematch against Aoi Kuriyama, who has scored three straight first-round knockouts since losing to Nakai in 2023.

The championship rematch was officially announced today. Nakai claimed the title by winning two fights in one night at Deep Jewels 37 in May 2022, then choked out Kuriyama late in the second round of their Deep Jewels 40 bout. Kuriyama has rebounded impressively while showcasing big power.

Saori Oshima vs Aya Murakami Double Title Bout Set For Deep Jewels 45Deep Women’s Microweight Champion Saori “Little Giant” Oshima and Deep Jewels Microweight Champion Aya Murakami will face off in a double title fight on May 26th at Deep Jewels 45 in Tokyo, Japan. The promotion announced the 97-pound champion versus champion matchup earlier today.

Oshima first claimed the Deep title in September 2020 at Deep: “97 Impact,” and she retained the belt with a quick submission of Mizuki Furuse in a November 2022 defence. Murakami captured the Deep Jewels microweight title in September with a Unanimous Decision victory at Deep Jewels 42.
