Amanda Bobby Cooper vs Anna Elmose Booked For UFC Fight Night 99TUF 23 finalist Amanda Bobby “ABC” Cooper steps back into the Octagon in a featured matchup on November 19th at UFC Fight Night 99: “Kim vs Nelson” in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Cooper is set to face Anna “Panda” Elmose, who drops down from bantamweight for her strawweight debut.

UFC officials announced the fight today. Cooper advanced to the final round of The Ultimate Fighter 23 before falling to Tatiana Suarez Padilla at July’s TUF 23 Finale. Elmose seeks a fresh start in a new division after suffering a loss to Germaine “The Iron Lady” de Randamie at UFC Fight Night 87.

Cooper (1-2-0) sports an official pro record that belies her talent, but her performances during TUF 23 established her as a future star in the strawweight division. Cooper’s biggest victory during the show came when she edged out highly-touted prospect Jamie Moyle in the quarterfinal round, and she followed that up by submitting Lanchana Green in semi-final action. While her bid to become TUF 23 champion ended in a quick defeat against Suarez Padilla, Cooper plans to get back on track by spoiling Elmose’s strawweight debut in November.

Elmose (3-1-0) kicked off her pro career with a 19-second TKO victory for Cage Warriors in late 2014, and she followed that up with back-to-back knockout wins the following year. A lengthy hiatus followed, and Elmose did not return to MMA action until May of this year when she stepped in to challenge de Randamie. The one-sided fight ended with Dutch fan favourite de Randamie scoring a vicious first-round stoppage win in front of a partisan crowd, and Elmose looks to erase those memories by beginning her climb up the strawweight rankings at Cooper’s expense.

UFC Fight Night 99: “Kim vs Nelson” takes place on November 14th at SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The event is headlined by a welterweight bout between Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim and Gunnar “Gunni” Nelson.
