Ashlee Evans-Smith vs Marciea Allen Booked For WSOF 10CFA Women’s Featherweight Champion Ashlee Evans-Smith is set to make her World Series of Fighting debut on June 21st at WSOF 10: “Branch vs Taylor” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Evans-Smith takes on Invicta FC veteran Marciea “Black Widow” Allen in a featured bantamweight bout on the card.

WSOF officials confirmed the matchup on Monday. The female fight joins a previously announced strawweight title bout between Jessica “Jag” Aguilar and Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino. Evans-Smith captured the CFA title when she stopped Fallon Fox in October. Allen has won back-to-back fights.

Evans-Smith (2-0-0) faced some of MMA’s top female prospects during her nine-fight amateur career that included a victory over current UFC fighter Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke and a 140-pound title reign for Tuff-N-Uff. She made her pro debut in March 2013 and avenged a loss by defeating former amateur rival Tori Adams. The victory propelled Evans-Smith into the semi-final round of the inaugural CFA women’s featherweight title tournament and she subsequently received a bye to the finals when her opponent, Anna Barone, missed weight.

In October, Evans-Smith took part in a historical title bout for CFA. Facing off against transgender fighter Fox, who received a wealth of media attention and was seen as a clear favourite to win the tournament, Evans-Smith dominated the fight and handed Fox her first defeat via third-round TKO. Evans-Smith then signed on with World Series of Fighting and she looks to keep her perfect professional record intact when she faces Allen next month.

Allen (3-1-0) has also battled skilled opponents in her career thus far. Following an eight-fight stint as an amateur, she turned pro in August 2012 and submitted Chandra Engel in the first round. Her next fight was her most high-profile to date, but it ended in Allen’s lone career defeat when she was submitted by Jessamyn Duke. Since the loss, Allen has rebounded with impressive performances in both of her fights. She most recently scored a Unanimous Decision victory over Brenda Rodriguez in December.

World Series of Fighting 10 takes place on June 21st at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event also features a WSOF Women’s Strawweight Championship bout between Jessica “Jag” Aguilar and Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino.
