Kikuyo Ishikawa vs Amber Brown Announced For Pancrase 250An atomweight bout between former Jewels title contender Kikuyo Ishikawa and Amber “The Bully” Brown has been added to Pancrase 250, which is scheduled to take place on July 28th in Tokyo, Japan. Pancrase officials announced plans for the featured 105-pound matchup earlier today.

Ishikawa is unbeaten inside the Pancrase ring. She most recently stopped Miyoko Kusaka in a rematch on April 21st. Her lone loss in her past eight fights came via Split Decision against ex-Jewels champ Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama. Brown debuted for Pancrase in May and now drops to 105.

Ishikawa (9-3-0) remains one of Japan’s top female prospects. In the past two years, she has totalled key victories over Sachiko “Sachi” Yamamoto and former Valkyrie champion Yasuko “Ikuko” Tamada. She put on one of her most dominant performances to date in the April rematch against Kusaka and avenged one of her three career defeats by stopping Kusaka with a right cross early in the first round. Ishikawa now looks for her fourth straight win when she returns to Pancrase next month.

Brown (2-1-0) stepped in on short notice for injured teammate Monica Lovato and faced former Jewels title challenger Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino at Pancrase 247. The New Mexico native put on a solid showing in defeat, but she was overwhelmed by Fujino’s power and grappling skills and the veteran Fujino ultimately prevailed via neck crank submission late in the second round. Brown now looks to rebound with a big win when she drops down to the atomweight division to challenge Ishikawa.

Pancrase 250 takes place on July 28th at Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan.
