Felice Herrig vs Heather Clark Targeted For Bellator 94 In FloridaStrawweight standout Felice “Lil’ Bulldog” Herrig looks to build upon her current three-fight winning streak when she squares off against Jackson’s MMA prospect “Hurricane” Heather Clark at Bellator 94 on March 28th in Tampa, Florida. The featured matchup will be contested at 115 pounds.

MMARising.com confirmed plans for the bout with multiple sources close to the negotiations. Herrig made a successful return to Bellator in December with a lopsided Unanimous Decision win over rival “Little” Patricia Vidonic. Clark has earned finishes in all five wins and now makes her Bellator debut.

Herrig (8-4-0) has won five of her past six fights since dropping a decision to Invicta FC flyweight title challenger Barb “Little Warrior” Honchak in early 2011. Her lone defeat since then came against current Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza. Herrig’s 2012 campaign was a flawless one, with victories in each of her three bouts including a pair of one-sided decision wins over Vidonic and a competitive victory over England’s Simona Soukupova under the XFC banner. The move down to 115 pounds has paid dividends for Herrig and she is one of the division’s fastest rising stars.

Clark (5-3-0) rebounded from a loss in her pro debut with stoppage wins in each of her next four fights including a ten-second knockout of April Coutino that earned 2011 Knockout of the Year honours. She made her XFC debut one year ago, but suffered a disappointing defeat against Marianna “The Crushen Russian” Kheyfets after the cageside doctor stopped the bout due to Clark’s badly swollen eye. She earned a quick submission win in June and now looks to get back on track after dropping a Unanimous Decision to Stephanie “Snowflake” Eggink in her most recent fight at XFC 21.

The bout between the talented strikers is expected to be featured prominently at Bellator 94 and may air on the night’s televised main card. An official announcement has not yet been made.

Bellator 94 takes place on March 28th at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida.
