  1. Aldana’s performance speaks volume of Larissa Pacheco’s skills. Pacheco hit harder than Aldana. Aldana will soon be in the UFC… and mark my words again: Pacheco will destroy Jessica Andrade.

  2. Roxy just kicked LaRosa’s behind. LaRosa’s striking is awful. Wild, clumsy, not technical. Roxy’s striking improved massively since her fight against Pennington.

  3. […] Full play-by-play for all bouts on tonight’s Invicta FC 8 card can be found here. […]

  4. I wish I understood what was going on with Tara LaRosa. At first I thought she was just having a fun time making a walk to the music. As the fight wore on I was wondering when she was going to wipe that smile off her face and get serious. Then, after she lost, she was smiling, laughing and it looked like she danced a little bit.

I get the wierd feeling she doesn’t care about wins or losses any more and she’s just going to play until it’s time to hang up the gloves. That’s a scary mentality because it would mean she’s essentially given up on the remainder of her career.

I also feel really bad for Eggink. I wanted Katja to win, but that come-from-behind choke must have been devastating. I’m sure her corner was telling her that she was doing well. Maybe they even told her she was winning. She wasn’t being overconfident, but she still got caught and for that she must feel terrible.

My last thought is that Japanese fighters need to develop a policy of dropping a weight class or two lower when fighting outside of Japan. Tamada got bowled over in a big, big way for this fight. Impressive that she held out for so long, but it went from competition to excessive punishment very quickly
