Jarrell “Thundercat” Hodge vs Cody “No Love” Garbrandt

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. The fighters traded strikes early on and Garbrandt countered a leg kick with a hard right cross. Hodge dropped to a knee, but got back to his feet and landed a right hand of his own after a body kick from Garbrandt. Once more, Garbrandt caught a kick from Hodge and countered with a right cross. Hodge began to taunt and Garbrandt responded by taking him down. Hodge locked on a tight arm-in guillotine choke, but Garbrandt was saved by the bell. Excellent round. 10-9 Garbrandt, just barely.

Round 2:
Both fighters landed punches in the early stages of the second round and it was Garbrandt who connected with a big right hand that dropped Hodge to a knee. Hodge stood and Garbrandt landed a quick combination. Hodge kept his distance and threw a spinning back kick that missed and the round came to a close. 10-9 Garbrandt.

Round 3:
Hodge landed a massive right hook that sent Garbrandt crashing to the mat very early in the final round. Hodge dove in with follow-up punches, but Garbrandt was already out cold. He stayed down for quite some time after the bout was stopped.

Winner: Jarrell Hodge by KO (Punch) at 0:10 of round three.

 

Eric “Here Comes Trouble” Gifford vs Vincent Bullard

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. Bullard tried for a takedown early on, but Gifford reversed and wound up on top. Bullard transitioned to an armbar, but Gifford escaped and moved to side control. Bullard scrambled to his feet and the fighters traded punches. Bullard got the takedown and fought out of a guillotine choke. Gifford stood, but was quickly taken down again. He swept from the bottom and teed off with punches from mount until the bell. Close round. 10-9 Gifford due to the late rally.

Round 2:
Gifford clinched to avoid early punches from Bullard in the second round and the fighters battled for position against the cage. Gifford backed away and landed a leg kick. Bullard took Gifford down, but Gifford immediately countered with a triangle choke. Bullard held on, but Gifford blasted him with hammerfists from the bottom. Gifford then used the triangle choke to roll Bullard over. He landed rapid-fire punches from the mount triangle and the bout was stopped.

Winner: Eric Gifford by TKO (Punches) at 2:38 of round two.

 

Wesley “Wild Wild” Hanson vs Thomas Uylenbroek

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. Hanson flurried right away and clinched. Uylenbroek broke away, but Hanson landed another big combination of punches. Uylenbroek attempted a body kick, but Hanson countered with a right hook that sent him to the mat. Uylenbroek stood and Hanson teed off with punches. A right hook sent Uylenbroek to the mat and Hanson battered him with punches until the bout was finally stopped.

Winner: Wesley Hanson by TKO (Punches) at 0:56 of round one.

 

Emmanuel “Natural Mystic” Kangah vs DeVontai “The Tasmanian Devil” Moore

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. Kangah flurried with punches right away and landed a nice leg kick. Left hooks were exchanged and Kangah landed more leg kicks. Kangah scored with a pair of kick-punch combos and Moore finally landed two leg kicks of his own. Kangah landed more kicks and flurried just before the bell. 10-9 Kangah.

Round 2:
Kangah landed a series of leg kicks early in round two and just missed with a right hook. Moore was much more aggressive and landed kicks and punches in close. He circled around the cage and kicked at Kangah’s legs. Kangah flurried with punches, but Moore ducked under and circled again. Close round. 10-9 Moore, barely.

Round 3:
Kangah picked up the pace with punches in the final round and he mixed in leg kicks to keep Moore guessing. Kangah faked a shot and landed an uppercut. Moore missed with a spinning back kick, but landed a left hook. Kangah remained the aggressor and he landed more leg kicks in the final 20 seconds. 10-9 Kangah.

Winner: Emmanuel Kangah by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds.

 

Grant “The Boy” Hoppel vs John Andrew Law

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. Law used a judo throw to take Hoppel down right away, but Hoppel stood and scored with uppercuts and knees in a clinch. The fighters separated and this time Law landed uppercuts in close. He tried to throw Hoppel to the mat, but wound up on the bottom. Hoppel avoided submissions and landed short punches until the end of the round. 10-9 Hoppel.

Round 2:
Hoppel countered a leg kick from Law with a right cross in the second round. Law fell to his back and Hoppel dove into his half-guard. Law tried to scramble for a submission, but Hoppel grabbed onto the cage. Law used a triangle choke attempt to prevent Hoppel from passing to side control. Hoppel postured up and landed a big flurry of punches in the final 30 seconds. 10-9 Hoppel.

Round 3:
Law slowed down in the final round, but managed to land a knee to the body. Hoppel answered with a left hook and he followed with another one after a brief clinch. Law began to put together combinations to the head and body and backed Hoppel up. The fighters exchanged punches in the final minute of the close round. 10-9 Law.

Winner: Grant Hoppel by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds.

 

John Antanitis vs John Burbol

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. The fighters traded single punches throughout the first half of round one, but neither landed cleanly. Burbol connected with a combination and clinched for a takedown. Antanitis reversed the clinch and held Burbol against the cage until the end of the uneventful round. 10-10.

Round 2:
Burbol targeted the body in the second round and dropped Antanitis to his knees with a short left hook. Antanitis clinched for a takedown, but Burbol stayed on his feet. Antanitis landed knees to the thighs and Burbol punched to the body. The fighters were separated and Antanitis threw a flurry. Burbol answered with a right cross and Antanitis fired back with a quick combination. He tried for a takedown and Burbol pulled guard with a guillotine choke. 10-9 Burbol.

Round 3:
Both fighters landed jabs in the final round and Burbol countered a takedown attempt with a front headlock. He let it go and backed away. Wild hooks missed from both, but Antanitis landed a right cross soon after. More jabs were exchanged and Burbol missed with right hooks. Antanitis scored a takedown and landed punches and hammerfists from Burbol’s half-guard. 10-9 Antanitis.

Winner: John Antanitis by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds.

 

Ryan Arce vs Jonathan “Crazy Legs” Rooks

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. After an exchange of body kicks and punches, the fighters clinched against the cage. Rooks looked for a takedown and Arce defended. Rook got Arce down and landed in mount. He tried for a top-side triangle choke, but lost the position and wound up on the bottom. Arce postured up and landed two right hands and Rooks tried for an omoplata before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Rooks.

Round 2:
Rooks walked directly into a brutal left hook counter from Arce at the start of round two and fell to his back. Arce immediately dove in with two follow-up punches that left Rooks unconscious on the mat. Vicious knockout.

Winner: Ryan Arce by KO (Punches) at 0:11 of round two.

 

Dan Stevenson vs Tony Hodges

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. Hodges landed body kicks and right hands that kept Stevenson on the defensive early on. Stevenson managed to clinch and scored a takedown. He landed punches and worked to pass Hodges’s guard. Hodges tried to scramble back to his feet, but Stevenson locked on a guillotine choke and pulled guard. Hodges hastily tapped out.

Winner: Dan Stevenson by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:45 of round one.

 

Nick “Nyquil” Brown vs David Gamble

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. Brown wasted little time in taking the fight to the debuting Gamble right away. He scored with a combination and hurt Gamble with more punches. Gamble fell to the mat and Brown took back control. He unloaded with right hands until the fight was stopped.
