The North American Allied Fight Series showcased one of its biggest events tonight at NAAFS: “Fight Night In The Flats 7” in Cleveland, Ohio. The card was headlined by an NAAFS 125-pound women’s title bout between NAAFS star Jessica “Evil” Eye and Bellator veteran Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly.

Elsewhere on the card, the NAAFS Middleweight Championship was on the line when Alan “Showtime” Aeschlimann battled Travis “The Terror” Clark, while KO king Stipe Miocic faced Bobby Brents for the NAAFS Heavyweight Championship. MMARising.com has live play-by-play for the event.

 

NAAFS Women’s 125-Pound Championship

Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly vs Jessica “Evil” Eye

Round 1:
Daly clinched immediately and looked for a trip takedown, but Eye managed to stay on her feet. The fighters exchanged short punches in close against the cage and Eye landed three knees. Eye managed to reverse and put Daly up against the cage, but Daly spun her back around again. Referee Mark Matheny separated the fighters and Eye countered a takedown.

Eye wound up on top in half-guard and landed a series of elbows. Eye isolated Daly’s right arm and scored with more elbows. Daly regained guard, but not before eating a series of punches. Eye passed to half-guard again and scored with half a dozen right hands, but Daly battled back to her feet just before the bell. 10-9 Eye.

Round 2:
The fighters clinched again in round two and Daly countered a body kick by taking Eye down. Eye tied up Daly’s arms and prevented her from landing anything damaging. She attempted an armbar and used it to spin into a reverse mount position. Daly kept Eye’s head between her legs and worked for a heel hook, but Eye scrambled out and wound up in Daly’s half-guard.

Daly swept and wound up on top in side control, then landed two quick elbows. Eye worked for a heel hook of her own, but Daly used the opportunity to take her back and secured a lightning-fast rear-naked choke. Eye had nowhere to go and quickly tapped out.

Winner: Aisling Daly by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 4:00 of round two. She improves to 11-2-0 and becomes the new NAAFS Women’s 125-Pound Champion.

 

NAAFS Middleweight Championship

Travis “The Terror” Clark vs Alan “Showtime” Aeschlimann

Round 1:
Aeschlimann clinched right away and picked Clark up, then slammed him down to the mat. He took Clark’s back briefly and landed a knee to the body, but Clark regained guard. Aeschlimann took partial back control again and unleashed a flurry of punches as Clark tried to defend. Clark managed to scramble out and got back to his feet.

Aeschlimann promptly took Clark back down again, but Clark stood and both fighters landed punches. Aeschlimann clinched again and took Clark down. He took Clark’s back and landed punches and hammerfists. Aeschlimann attempted a rear-naked choke, but Clark stood and scored with a right hook. A bloodied Clark sprawled out of a takedown at the bell. 10-9 Aeschlimann.

Round 2:
Aeschlimann appeared to be tired in the second round and Clark landed a one-two early on. Aeschlimann missed with a Superman Punch, but managed to take Clark down. He moved to back control and threw knees to Clark’s ribs. Clark escaped to his feet and landed a leg kick. Aeschlimann slowed way down and looked to be running on fumes as Clark picked him apart with strikes.

Aeschlimann just missed with a spinning back elbow and landed a knee, but Clark countered with a right hook. Aeschlimann clinched for a takedown and finally got it, but Clark popped right back up. Aeschlimann doubled over and looked to be on the brink of submitting due to fatigue, but Clark refused to engage. Clark finally landed a leg kick and a right cross that dropped Aeschlimann. Clark added three more leg kicks at the bell. 10-9 Clark.

Round 3:
Clark opened the third round with punches and leg kicks, but Aeschlimann managed to fire back a combination in return. He clinched and backed Clark up to the cage. Aeschlimann took Clark’s back and moved to mount, but Clark scrambled and wound up on top. The fighters were stood up and Aeschlimann struggled to stand on his left leg.

Clark moved in with punches and a leg kick, then followed with a knee. Another leg kick landed for Clark and Aeschlimann winced in pain. The crowd booed as Clark seemed hesitant to engage, but he finally ended the fight with one more leg kick as Aeschlimann collapsed to the mat.

Winner: Travis Clark by TKO (Leg Kick) at 4:14 of round three. He improves to 6-0-0 and becomes the new NAAFS Middleweight Champion.

 

NAAFS Heavyweight Championship

Stipe Miocic vs Bobby “Zombie” Brents

Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks early on and Miocic landed three nice right hands. More leg kicks were exchanged and Miocic backed Brents up to the cage. He landed two more right hooks and continued to pick his shots. A one-two and a knee landed for Miocic and he established his jab. Brents caught a kick, but Miocic got his leg free.

Miocic landed more jabs and an overhand right. Big punches backed Brents up, but he covered up well and Miocic circled away. He cut Brents with punches late in the round and swarmed with a flurry near the cage shortly before the bell. 10-9 Miocic.

Round 2:
Miocic opened round two with punches and Brents answered with some solid leg kicks. Miocic jabbed and Brents appeared to get poked in the eye. The fight carried on and Miocic scored with a hard overhand right. Brents recovered, but ate a quick combination. Both fighters landed leg kicks and Miocic followed with a one-two.

Miocic pawed out with jabs and Brents answered with two leg kicks and a wild right hook. The pace slowed as the fighters traded jabs and Brents complained of another eyepoke. Miocic dropped Brents with a leg kick and Brents verbally submitted.

Winner: Stipe Miocic by Submission (Leg Kick) at 4:27 of round two. He improves to 6-0-0 and becomes the new NAAFS Heavyweight Champion.

 

Chris “The Cleveland Assassin” Lozano vs Derek Smith

Round 1:
Lozano rocked Smith with a one-two right away, but Smith recovered quickly and clinched. Lozano broke free and just missed with another one-two and a knee. He stuffed a takedown and took Smith’s back. Lozano locked on a rear-naked choke and Smith did his best to fight it off. He did so for nearly 30 seconds, but was eventually forced to submit.

Winner: Chris Lozano by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:20 of round one. He improves to 8-1-0.

 

Frank “The Tank” Caraballo vs Brady “The Alpha Male” Hovermale

Round 1:
Punches and leg kicks landed for both fighters until Caraballo scored a takedown. He moved to side control and then to mount. Hovermale pushed off of the cage and wound up on top in Caraballo’s guard. Caraballo swept and worked from Hovermale’s half-guard. Hovermale attempted an arm-triangle choke and an armbar, but Caraballo used hammerfists to power out.

More punches and hammerfists landed for Caraballo from the top and he dove in with a right hand. Caraballo attempted an arm-triangle choke of his own, but could not pass Hovermale’s guard. He postured up and punched as Hovermale worked for submissions from the bottom. Caraballo moved to side control and threw elbows as Hovermale answered with knees to the body. 10-9 Caraballo.

Round 2:
Hovermale countered a spinning backfist from Caraballo in round two and tied up his arm while scoring with hard punches and knees. Hovermale tripped Caraballo to the mat, but Caraballo battled back to his feet and took Hovermale down against the cage. Caraballo worked from Hovermale’s guard, then moved to side control. Hovermale briefly locked on an inverted triangle choke from the bottom, but Caraballo escaped and tried for an arm-triangle choke from Hovermale’s guard.

Hovermale scored with elbows from the bottom and Caraballo quickly answered with punches. Hovermale worked for an armbar and kicked Caraballo off. He upkicked until Caraballo fell back into his guard. Hovermale attempted a triangle choke and Caraballo escaped to side control. He moved to a top-side crucifix and landed three hard punches before the bell. 10-9 Caraballo due to the late rally.

Round 3:
Both fighters landed punches early in round three and Caraballo connected with a grazing spinning back elbow. He took Hovermale down and struck from the top, but Hovermale battled back to his feet. Caraballo took him down again, but Hovermale stood once more. A big exchange of punches ensued and both fighters appeared to be fatigued.

Caraballo stunned Hovermale with a combination and slammed him to the mat. He landed on top in side control and landed elbows, but Hovermale quickly scrambled to his feet and scored with a combination. Caraballo answered with one of his own and took Hovermale down. The fighters were stood up rather quickly and Caraballo landed a spinning backfist. He took Hovermale down once more. 10-9 Caraballo.

Winner: Frank Caraballo by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 6-4-0.

 

Clint Musser vs Devin “The Marion Barbarian” Miller

Round 1:
Musser opened the fight with a head kick and took Miller down against the cage. He moved to half-guard and threw short elbows as Miller tried to scramble out. Both fighters attempted guillotine chokes on the ground and Miller wound up on top. He took Musser’s back and tried for a rear-naked choke, but Musser shrugged him off.

Musser moved to mount and struck from the top, but soon returned to his feet and Miller followed. Musser slammed Miller down to the mat and unloaded with elbows from side control. Miller, now cut from the elbows, managed to regain guard. Musser moved back to side control, however, and teed off once again with elbows that forced Miller to verbally submit.

Winner: Clint Musser by Submission (Elbows) at 4:37 of round one. He improves to 1-0-0.
