Jessica "Evil" Eye Wins Ring Of Combat Women's ChampionshipStrong Style Fight Team prospect Jessica “Evil” Eye kept her unblemished record intact tonight when she stopped Ashley “No Limit” Nee in round one at Ring of Combat 34. The win earned Eye the vacant ROC 130-Pound Women’s Championship; the first title of her professional MMA career.

A native of Parma, Ohio, Eye competed outside her home state for the first time tonight as she travelled to Atlantic City, New Jersey for the title bout. Overwhelming Nee with a variety of big strikes, Eye put on an impressive performance in victory to capture the vacant title belt in her third pro fight.

Eye (3-0-0) opened the fight very aggressively with punches and knees that backed Nee (1-2-0) up to the cage and kept her there. More strikes landed for Eye as Nee’s nose began to bleed, but the fight continued on and Eye began to pace herself. Nee managed to catch a body kick, but Eye escaped and scored a takedown. She attempted to move to side-control, but lost the position in a scramble and the fighters stood. Eye unloaded with more punches as Nee wilted against the cage and the fight was finally waved off.

Winner: Jessica Eye by TKO (Punches) at 4:34 of round one. She improves to 3-0-0 and becomes the new ROC 130-Pound Women’s Champion.

While the victory was just Eye’s third as a professional, she scored five straight wins as an amateur and continues to be seen as one of the top female prospects in MMA. Still just 24 years of age, Eye remains early in her career and has been rumoured to possibly be a part of the upcoming Strikeforce: Columbus event on March 5th. However, sources close to Strikeforce tell MMARising.com that Eye’s participation is not assured and that a potential opponent has not yet been found.
