A total of eight fights are now official for Deep Jewels 14, which takes place on November 3rd in Tokyo, Japan. The all-female card is headlined by a pair of previously announced atomweight bouts pitting Saori “Shooting Star” Ishioka against Mina Kurobe, and Emi Tomimatsu against Tomo Maesawa.
Among the latest additions to the event is a flyweight matchup between former boxing champion Emiko “Fujin” Raika and 17-year-old South Korean newcomer Jin Hee Gan. Strawweight prospects Sachiko Fujimori and Ayaka Miura will clash in featured action as each fighter looks for a key victory.
Raika (2-4-0, 1 NC) seeks to get back on the winning track following a pair of defeats during the past year, including a third-round TKO loss to Bantamweight Queen of Pancrase Rin Nakai in July. The standout striker previously tallied back-to-back wins in 2015. Gan (0-0-0) makes her Deep Jewels debut in hopes of upsetting her famed opponent, who is 23 years her senior.
Fujimori (4-2-0) and Miura (2-1-0) face off in an important matchup that may help to determine a future title contender at 115 pounds. While Fujimori is coming off of a late-fight submission loss to Mika “Future Princess” Nagano at Deep Jewels 13, she was controlling the fight prior to getting caught with an armbar. Miura began her pro career with an impressive 85-second chokeout against Ella “Power” Wu, and she most recently secured her second victory this past month.
In other action at Deep Jewels 14, atomweight contender Satomi “Sarami” Takano (7-8-0) squares off against Miyuki Furusawa (0-1-0). At flyweight, Nori Date (1-3-0) faces Takako “BB Taka” Iizuka (0-0-0). Nori’s Team Date stablemate, Hana (1-4-0), takes on Sayuri Yamaguchi (0-1-0) at atomweight, and “King” Reina Miura (0-0-0) battles the debuting Eri (0-0-0) in a 165-pound catchweight contest.
Deep Jewels 14 takes place on November 3rd at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan.
