Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino competes inside the UFC Octagon for the second time on September 24th at UFC Fight Night 95 in Brasilia, Brazil. Justino is set to battle Swedish standout Lina “Elbow Princess” Länsberg in the 140-pound catchweight main event.
UOL first reported on plans for the bout earlier this week, and UFC officials later confirmed the pairing. Both Justino and Länsberg are undefeated since their pro debuts. Justino recently stopped Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith at UFC 198, and Länsberg picked up a second-round TKO victory in March.
Justino (16-1-0, 1 ND) captured Invicta FC title gold in her second fight for the promotion in July 2013, and she has since asserted her dominance over the division by earning three straight first-round TKO victories in Invicta FC championship defences. In May, Justino made her long-awaited UFC debut in her home country and needed just 81 seconds to finish Smith in a 140-pound catchweight bout. She will compete in Brazil once again in September and seeks her second UFC victory.
Länsberg (6-1-0) will enter next month’s bout against Justino as a significant underdog, but she has impressed European fans with her aggressive style and strong ground and pound that have yielded four stoppage wins to date. Competing between 135 and 145 pounds, Länsberg holds notable victories over Laura “Hot Head” Howarth and Alexandra Buch, and she most recently secured a second-round TKO triumph over Invicta FC veteran Maria Hougaard Djursaa in Denmark.
UFC Fight Night 95 takes place on September 24th at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil. The bout between Justino and Länsberg headlines the card.
