Jason Cardillo vs Zac “Bad News at 11” Gobel

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Dan Miragliotta. Gobel threw a lead right hook to open the fight, but Cardillo countered by taking him down. Cardillo punched from the top and pinned Gobel against the cage. He postured up and landed more punches, then took Gobel’s back. Gobel scrambled up and landed a knee as the fighters stood.

Cardillo took him down again and moved to side control. He landed elbows, but Gobel cut him with an elbow from the bottom. Cardillo took Gobel’s back and unloaded with punches, but Gobel held on and got back to guard. He landed an upkick, but Cardillo continued to punch from the top and moved to side control. He managed to secure a neck crank from the back and Gobel tapped out.

Winner: Jason Cardillo by Submission (Neck Crank) at 4:47 of round one. He improves to 2-0-0.

 

Ronell Green vs Amos “The Titanium Warrior” Collins

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Keith Peterson. Green reversed an early takedown and pulled guard with a guillotine choke. Collins fought it, but appeared to go limp momentarily. The referee stopped the fight and Collins sprung to his feet after waking up. He protested, but did appear to be out briefly.

Winner: Ronell Green by Technical Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 0:27 of round one. He improves to 1-0-0.

 

Marcos Pecina vs Matthew “The Dog of War” Garretson

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Keith Peterson. The fighters clinched early on and Pecina tripped Garretson to the ground. Pecina landed punches and tried to move to mount as Garretson worked for a Kimura. Garretson swept and escaped a triangle choke, then took Pecina’s back. Pecina defended and got back to Garretson’s full guard. He postured up and landed a handful of punches, but the action was sparse. Pecina closed out the round on top. 10-9 Pecina.

Round 2:
Pecina took Garretson down in the second round and landed occasional punches from the top. The pace was very slow as Pecina held Garretson down but landed little. Pecina threw short punches and elbows as the round wore on and kept Garretson on the mat. Pecina passed to the side and tried for an arm-triangle choke, but could not get it. A bloodied Garretson reversed, but Pecina took his back as the round came to a close. 10-9 Pecina.

Round 3:
Pecina scored a pair of takedowns early in the final round and escaped an arm-in guillotine choke. Garretson worked for a Kimura from the bottom and Pecina used the opportunity to take partial back control. Garretson tried for another Kimura and Pecina wound up on top in his guard. He postured up and landed punches until the fighters were stood up. Garretson punched his way into a clinch and tried for a takedown, but Garretson reversed it and ended the round on top. 10-9 Pecina.

Winner: Marcos Pecina by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 1-0-0.

 

Matt “Mean Bean” Montalvo vs Jeremy “The Czar” Czarnecki

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Keith Peterson. Big punches were exchanged right away and Czarnecki scored a takedown against the cage. He fought out of a triangle choke and punched from the top. Montalvo was active from his back and attempted another triangle choke and an armbar. Czarnecki landed more punches until Montalvo swept and took top position in side control. Czarnecki scrambled and took Montalvo’s back. He landed punches until the bell. 10-9 Czarnecki.

Round 2:
Montalvo landed punches and a knee that opened a cut above Czarnecki’s eye early in round two. Montalvo fell while throwing a kick and Czarnecki punched from top position. Time was called to check Czarnecki’s cut as he began bleeding all over the place. The cut was deemed too severe and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Matt Montalvo by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 1:09 of round two. He improves to 4-3-0.

 

Chris “Shenanigans” Goldbaugh vs Brandon Johnson

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Dan Miragliotta. The fighters traded punches early on and clinched against the cage. Goldbaugh scored a big takedown and took Johnson’s back. Goldbaugh flattened Johnson out against the cage and Johnson was forced to submit.

Winner: Chris Goldbaugh by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:53 of round one. He improves to 1-1-0.
