Jessica Eye vs Kelly Warren Set For NAAFS On February 18Popular prospect Jessica “Evil” Eye will compete in her home state of Ohio when she returns to the cage on February 18th in Cleveland. Eye will face once-beaten Jackson’s MMA representative Kelly Warren in a featured matchup at North American Allied Fight Series: “Caged Vengeance 10.”

MMARising.com confirmed the fight with NAAFS President and CEO Greg Kalikas today. Bout agreements have already been signed. Eye has won back-to-back fights since her lone career defeat against NAAFS champion Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly, who handed Warren her first loss in November.

Eye (5-1-0) has found considerable success since transitioning to the pro ranks in 2010 after a 5-0 career as an amateur. She captured the Ring of Combat 130-pound women’s title in February and was favoured to claim her second pro title four months later, but succumbed to a second-round rear-naked choke from Daly in their NAAFS 125-pound championship fight. Eye has bounced back strong since tasting defeat for the first time. She defeated Casey “KO” Noland in her Bellator debut and returned to NAAFS with a lopsided victory over Jennifer “Superstar” Scott on November 24th.

Warren (3-1-0) kicked off her pro career with a pair of wins in 2010, but fought just once in the first ten months of 2011 after missing weight on two occasions. In her bout that proceeded as planned, Warren submitted Sarah Lacina late in the second round of their Extreme Challenge 184 matchup in June. It was not until the November NAAFS: “Night of Champions 2011” card that Warren stepped back into the cage. There, she challenged Daly for the promotion’s 125-pound title and had early success against the champion before falling victim to a Daly armbar in round two.

With both Eye and Warren looking to get back into title contention for possible rematches with Daly, a victory for either will be critical in February. Daly will be busy herself this year as she takes part in the inaugural Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 125-pound women’s tournament.

North American Allied Fight Series: “Caged Vengeance 10” takes place on February 18th at Gray’s Armory in Cleveland, Ohio.
