Sally Krumdiack vs Patricia Vidonic Targeted For February 11Three women’s bouts are now in the works for Fight Night Entertainment: “Round 18: Clash at the College” on February 11th in Everett, Washington. Among them is a featured 115-pound matchup between local fan favourite “Slick” Sally Krumdiack and fast-rising star “Little” Patricia Vidonic.

In another women’s bout announced this week, Strikeforce tournament veteran Colleen “The Beautiful Disaster” Schneider faces Ohio’s Marissa “Shorty” Caldwell. Talented striker Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez will also be in action against an opponent to be determined in the coming weeks.

Krumdiack (9-4-0) has competed just three times in the past two years, but she has earned stoppage victories over the previously unbeaten Hiroko Kitamura and Oklahoma prospect Sarah Ward-Maloy during that time. In November 2010, Krumdiack travelled to Ireland to battle U.K. standout Rosi “The Surgeon” Sexton under the Cage Warriors banner, but suffered the first TKO defeat of her career in a competitive battle. She was impressive in her bout with Ward-Maloy in July, however, and now returns to 115 pounds after battling some of the sport’s best fighters at 125.

Vidonic (6-1-0) has quickly risen to become one of the top female prospects in the United States and has found success in multiple weight classes. She posted a perfect 4-0 record in 2011 and ended the year with submission victories over credible opponents in Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman and Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli. Despite her willingness to move up and down in weight in order to secure fights, Vidonic has struggled at times to find opponents but now faces arguably her toughest test to date in February.

Both Schneider (1-3-0) and Caldwell (2-5-0) will look to rebound from setbacks in their most recent fights. Schneider scored a 17-second knockout win in May, but succumbed to a third-round rear-naked choke from Vanessa Mariscal one month later. Caldwell has suffered defeats in four straight fights after a promising start to her pro career, though two of the losses came in the form of closely contested decisions. Meanwhile, Gutierrez (3-2-0) awaits a replacement opponent on the February card after her original foe withdrew.

Fight Night Entertainment: “Round 18: Clash at the College” takes place on February 11, 2012 at the Everett Community College in Everett, Washington.
