Zoila Frausto vs Karina Hallinan 2 Relegated To Bellator 35 UndercardBellator 115-pound women’s champion Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto will indeed face rival Karina Hallinan for the second time at Bellator Fighting Championships 35 on March 5th, but the bout is not scheduled to be part of the televised card. MMAjunkie.com first reported on the news earlier today.

Frausto was noticeably frustrated when informed of the untelevised status of the fight, which was not expected to be contested for her Bellator title. Her rematch with Hallinan could still be slotted into the debut Bellator broadcast on the MTV2 network if time permits, but that possibility is not assured.

Frausto (10-1-0) and Hallinan (3-4-0) first squared off in both fighters’ pro debuts on February 13, 2009. Frausto edged Hallinan via a razor-thin Split Decision after three 3:00 rounds, but many observers felt that Hallinan had done enough to earn the victory. Frausto will now have a chance to prove that she is the better fighter, but may have to do so in a non-televised bout.

The second meeting between the two will take place on March 5th on the debut card for Bellator’s fourth season. Four welterweight tournament quarterfinal bouts will make up the evening’s televised main card, though undercard fights are sometimes inserted into Bellator broadcasts if allotted TV time remains.

Bellator Fighting Championships 35 airs live on MTV2 in the United States from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.
