Bantamweight Bout

Shosuke Kinoshita vs Rikiya Matsuzawa

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Minoru Toyonaga. Matsuzawa darted in and out with early right hands before clinching with Kinoshita against the cage. When the fighters separated, Kinoshita landed a hard right hook. Matsuzawa answered with a head kick and a quick flurry of punches. Matsuzawa threw another head kick that was blocked. He jabbed until Kinoshita landed a right cross. Kinoshita mixed up his strikes with jabs and two body kicks during the final 30 seconds.

Round 2:
Matsuzawa scored with a hard left cross and her German suplexed Kinoshita to the mat. Kinoshita stood and Matsuzawa maintained back control. The fighters briefly separated and Matsuzawa partially landed with a head kick. Kinoshita reversed a throw and wound up on top in Matsuzawa’s half-guard. He stayed there and threw short right hands to the side of Matsuzawa’s face. Matsuzawa got back to full guard in the final minute and he spun into a kneebar attempt before standing up.

Judges Uematsu, Shibata and Ishikawa all score the fight even at 19-19 and all three award their Must Decisions to the winner by Unanimous Decision, Kinoshita.

Winner: Shosuke Kinoshita by Unanimous Decision (19-19 [Must Decision: Kinoshita], 19-19 [Must Decision: Kinoshita], 19-19 [Must Decision: Kinoshita]) after two 5:00 rounds. He improves to 9-5-1.

 

Flyweight Bout

Kenta Hayashi vs Kohei Sugiyama

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Masato Fukuda. Sugiyama pressed the action with jabs and he used them to set up overhand rights, but Hayashi fired back with some hard right hands of his own. Sugiyama kicked his lead leg, but he missed with a spinning backfist attempted and Hayashi took Sugiyama’s back. The fighters separated and Hayashi swept out Sugiyama’s leg with a calf kick. He hopped on his back and worked for a rear-naked choke, but Sugiyama avoided danger and returned to his feet. He threw a jumping switch knee and Hayashi took him down after catching it. The fighters stood and the round ended in a clinch.

Round 2:
Sugiyama opened the second round with punching combinations, but Hayashi staggered him with a counter right cross and he countered a Sugiyama takedown with a kimura attempt. Hayashi used the kimura to et back to his feet and Sugiyama scored with a right hook and a one-two. Hayashi swept out Sugiyama’s leg, but Sugiyama quickly stood up and he held Hayashi against the fence. Following a brief Sugiyama takedown, the fighters returned to their feet and Sugiyama jabbed. Hayashi again swept out his leg with a kick and he held Sugiyama in a front headlock. Late in the round, Sugiyama threw a head kick that was blocked and he landed a combination before the bell.

Judge Toyonaga scores the fight even at 19-19 and awards his Must Decision to Sugiyama. Judge Hashimoto also has it even at 19-19 and awards his Must Decision to Hayashi. Judge Ishikawa scores the fight 20-18 for the winner by Split Decision, Hayashi.

Winner: Kenta Hayashi by Split Decision (20-18, 19-19 [Must Decision: Hayashi], 19-19 [Must Decision: Sugiyama]) after two 5:00 rounds. He improves to 6-1-0.

 

Lightweight Bout

Daigo Kuramoto vs Shinobu Wakui

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Takashi Hashimoto. The fighters traded calf kicks during the opening minute and Kuramoto eventually backed Wakui up to the cage with a flurry of punches. He attacked with knees and more punches as Wakui covered up, prompting referee Hashimoto to jump in to stop the brief fight.

Winner: Daigo Kuramoto by TKO (Knees & Punches) at 1:09 of round one. He improves to 3-1-0.

 

Flyweight Bout

Masato Nakamura vs Daiki “Ikkaku Kameda” Tanida

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Akira Shibata. Nakamura attempted a body-lock takedown, but Tanida rolled through and got back to his feet. He elbowed the side of Nakamura’s head until Nakamura tripped him to the mat. Tanida sat up against the cage and continued to elbow Nakamura’s head. Nakamura took Tanida’s back and locked on a no-hooks rear-naked choke. He sunk in one hook and tightened his grip on the choke, and Tanida was forced to submit.

Winner: Masato Nakamura by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:35 of round one. He improves to 9-7-0.

 

Amateur 68kg Bout

Hyuma Yasui vs Ryosei Kan

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Takashi Hashimoto. Yasui took the fight to the ground in the opening minute with a harai goshi throw. He struck from the top and then picked Kan up in order to break free from a triangle choke attempt. Yasui stood and tried to cartwheel through Kan’s guard, but Kan also got to his feet and he secured a throw of his own. Kan briefly landed punches to the side of Yasui’s head before the end of the round.

Round 2:
Yasui missed with a tornado kick attempt, but he took Kan down and looked to set up a guillotine choke from the top. Kan freed his neck and kicked Yasui off. Yasui dropped back down and latched on to Kan’s left arm. He went belly-down with an armbar and Kan tapped out.

Winner: Hyuma Yasui by Submission (Armbar) at 1:40 of round two.
