Punahele “Story Time” Soriano vs Dalcha “Champion” Lungiambula

Round 1:
Lungiambula landed an early right hook and he thwarted a takedown attempt from Soriano. A counter right hand landed for Lungiambula as Soriano threw a body kick and he dropped Soriano with a leg kick. As Soriano got to his feet, Lungiambula held him in a guillotine choke before letting it go. Lungiambula landed an uppercut to the body, but Soriano answered with an overhand left and a knee. Lungiambula took Soriano down and Soriano got back to his feet against the cage. Lungiambula whipped him back down to the mat and Soriano stood once more before the bell. 10-9 Lungiambula.

Round 2:
Soriano dropped Lungiambula to a knee with a left hook in the second round and he landed a follow-up right hand that left Lungiambula face-first on the canvas. Soriano continued to throw punches until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Punahele Soriano by KO (Punches) at 0:28 of round two. He improves to 9-2-0.

 

Ricky Simón vs Jack “Tank” Shore

Round 1:
Simón started quickly with three leg kicks and a one-two. He took Shore down very briefly and Shore stood up against the fence. Shore circled away and Simón landed another leg kick. Shore went high with a head kick that was partially blocked and Simón clinched after landing a body kick. Shore landed an elbow on the break and Simón responded with a lead left hook. He held Shore against the cage again, but not for long. Shore jabbed and Simón landed a leg kick. One more hard jab scored for Shore in the final seconds. Close round. 10-9 Simón.

Round 2:
Round two began with another clinch, but Shore was able to break free and he looked for a takedown of his own. Simón reversed a clinch and he took Shore down momentarily. Shore stood up and he held Simón in a guillotine choke. Simón picked him, rushed across the cage and slammed Shore down to the mat. Shore returned to his feet and he landed an elbow as the fighters separated. Simón wobbled and dropped Shore with a right hook, then dove in with hammerfists on the ground. Shore survived the onslaught of strikes, but Simón locked on an arm-triangle choke and Shore tapped out.

Winner: Ricky Simón by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 3:28 of round two. He improves to 20-3-0.

 

Bill “Senor Perfecto” Algeo vs Herbert “The Blaze” Burns

Round 1:
Burns clinched right away, but Algeo reversed it against the cage and Burns used a lateral drop to take him down into side control. Burns quickly locked on a triangle armbar in a scramble and he landed elbows to the side of Algeo’s head as well. Algeo stayed calm and defended well, and he eventually freed his head and then his arm. Algeo wound up on top in Burns’s guard and he postured up with heavy punches. Burns postured for a triangle choke and Algeo hurt him with punches and hammerfists. Algeo stood and an exhausted Burns barely got to his feet. Algeo reversed a takedown and he landed punches from a top-side crucifix before the bell. 10-9 Algeo.

Round 2:
Algeo reversed a takedown into top control in the second round and he landed short punches and elbows from the top. Algeo stood and Burns latched on to his ankle in search of a heel hook and then a kneebar. Algeo escaped and landed two punches before standing up. Burns would not get to his feet and referee Keith Peterson waved off the fight.

Winner: Bill Algeo by TKO (Retirement) at 1:50 of round two. He improves to 16-6-0.

 

Dustin “The Hanyak” Jacoby vs Da Un “Sseda” Jung

Round 1:
Jung answered an early leg kick from Jacoby with three of his own. A long jab landed for Jacoby and Jung jumped in with a flying switch knee to the chest. Jung threw jab-hook combos, but Jacoby floored him with a huge counter right hook. Jung was woken back up by his head bouncing off of the canvas and the fight was immediately waved off as Jung attempted to get back to his feet.

Winner: Dustin Jacoby by KO (Punch) at 3:13 of round one. He improves to 18-5-1.

 

Dustin Stoltzfus vs Dwight “The Body Snatcher” Grant

Round 1:
Stoltzfus blocked an early head kick, but Grant landed an overhand right and he followed up with a three-punch combo. Stoltzfus missed with a spinning backfist and Grant landed two hooks after catching a Stoltzfus body kick. Stoltzfus attempted a takedown and Grant defended well against the cage before breaking free. Stoltzfus landed two hard leg kicks and Grant answered with a lead left hook. The fighters traded right hands in close and Grant countered a spinning backfist attempt from Stoltzfus with a right hook. He landed a looping left-right combo and Stoltzfus chased after him with a head kick attempt and a right hand before the bell. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Grant.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange of right hooks and Stoltzfus’s landed behind Grant’s ear. Stoltzfus landed kicks to Grant’s body and lead leg. Grant landed two body kicks and he ducked under a right hand from Stoltzfus. In the final two minutes, Stoltzfus shot in for a takedown and he held Grant against the cage. Stoltzfus got Grant down and he landed left hands before taking Grant’s back. Stoltzfus hunted for a rear-naked choke and Grant rolled over and gave up mount. The round ended with Stoltzfus landing right hands and shoulder strikes from the top. 10-9 Stoltzfus.

Round 3:
Stoltzfus opened the final round with kicks to Grant’s lead leg, but Grant knocked him off-balance with a counter right hook. Grant landed a lead left hook and he followed with a second one. Stoltzfus landed a right hand, but Grant prevented him from clinching and he circled away to his left. Stoltzfus closed the distance again and he picked Grant up, then slammed him down to the mat. Stoltzfus worked from the top in side control with hammerfists and short right hands to Grant’s body. Stoltzfus mounted Grant in the dying seconds and he landed two elbows before the end of the fight. 10-9 Stoltzfus.

Winner: Dustin Stoltzfus by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 14-4-0.

 

Emily “Gordinha” Ducote vs Jessica Penne

Round 1:
Jabs were exchanged in the opening minute and Ducote landed a lead left hook. She attacked Penne’s calf with kicks and fought off a takedown. Penne clinched and landed a knee, but Ducote broke free and she scored with more leg kicks. Both women landed straight right hands and Ducote shrugged off another takedown attempt after landing a hard leg kick. Late in the round, Ducote landed a quick left-right combo. 10-9 Ducote.

Round 2:
Early in the second round, Ducote landed two calf kicks and a counter right hook as Penne dropped levels in search of a takedown. A big left hook scored for Ducote, who followed up with another calf kick. Penne clinched momentarily and she landed a knee before Ducote pushed her away. A one-two landed for Penne, but she was not able to take Ducote down. Penne used her jab to set up two left hooks and a body kick. Ducote began to bleed from her nose, but she landed a hard calf kick and Penne clinched. Penne landed two knees before the bell. Much closer round. 10-9 Ducote by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Ducote hurt Penne with a calf kick right away in round three and she landed three more that forced Penne to balance on one leg. Ducote cracked her with a right hook seconds later. After Ducote landed another leg kick, the fighters exchanged right hands and Penne landed a hard overhand right soon after. Ducote went back to leg kicks and she landed a left-right combo. Late in the fight, Ducote landed a four-punch flurry and a nice counter left hook as Penne pressed forward. 10-9 Ducote.

Winner: Emily Ducote by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 12-6-0.
