Alan “Brahma” Jouban vs Brendan “The Badger” O’Reilly

Round 1:
Jouban targeted O’Reilly’s midsection with a kick and a series of knees in the opening minute. O’Reilly countered with a trip takedown and he tried to take Jouban’s back on the way up. More knees were exchanged in a clinch and Jouban mixed in standing elbows. The fighters traded huge shots and Jouban rocked O’Reilly with a looping hook and a knee. He dropped O’Reilly with two elbows and followed with punches on the ground until the bout was stopped.

Winner: Alan Jouban by TKO (Elbows & Punches) at 2:15 of round one. He improves to 13-4-0.

 

Daniel “The Hangman” Hooker vs Mark Eddiva

Round 1:
Eddiva struck his way into an early clinch and tried for a takedown, but Hooker countered with a tight standing guillotine choke. He pulled Eddiva to the ground and torqued back on a guillotine choke from mount. Eddiva held on momentarily, but he had nowhere to go and tapped out.

Winner: Daniel Hooker by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:24 of round one. He improves to 13-6-0.

 

Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith vs Rin Nakai

Round 1:
Smith kept Nakai at bay with jabs in the opening minute and she followed with a lead left hook as Nakai struck from a distance. Smith shrugged off a clinch attempt and flurried to the head and body. Nakai landed a left hook behind Smith’s ear and she followed with another one, but Smith backed her up with a right cross. Hard punches were exchanged and Nakai attempted a takedown near the cage wall. Smith escaped from a guillotine choke and she jabbed from a distance once again. Two hard right hands landed for Smith and she followed with a quick combination. Close round. 10-9 Smith.

Round 2:
Nakai scored a much-needed takedown in round two and she used short punches from the top to set up a pass to side control. Smith countered with an inverted triangle choke attempt, but Nakai escaped. She locked on a tight arm-triangle choke that had Smith in trouble. Smith pressed off of the cage to try to alleviate pressure, and she escaped out the back in the process. On the feet, Smith landed a head kick and a lunging flurry. She followed with another head kick, but Nakai took her back down into half-guard and closed out the round with ground and pound. 10-9 Nakai.

Round 3:
Smith avoided a takedown attempt in the final round and she landed quick one-two combinations. Nakai struggled to land anything until she secured a clinch against the fence, which allowed her to score with a series of uppercuts. Smith countered by momentarily dropping Nakai with a right hand. Nakai worked relentlessly for takedowns and she eventually got Smith down into side control. She tried to take Smith’s back, but Smith scrambled up to her feet as time expired. Another close round. 10-9 Smith due to damage dealt.

Winner: Leslie Smith by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 8-6-1.

 

Viscardi Andrade vs Richard “Filthy Rich” Walsh

Round 1:
Andrade dropped Walsh with a right hook early in the opening round, but Walsh recovered and he fired back with a flurry on the feet. The fighters clinched against the cage, but Walsh broke free and he landed some solid right hands. Andrade took him down and landed occasional punches from Walsh’s guard. Referee Marc Goddard stood the fighters up and both men landed right hooks. Walsh flurried before the bell and shot in for a takedown. Close round. 10-9 Andrade, barely.

Round 2:
Walsh floored Andrade with a huge right hand in the second round and he followed with more punches on the ground. Andrade countered with an upkick and got back to his feet. He dragged Walsh down very briefly, but the fight quickly returned to the feet. Big punches were exchanged and Walsh cracked Andrade with a pair of left hooks. Andrade caught a kick and took Walsh’s back after pulling him down to the mat. He locked on a Brabo choke before the bell. 10-9 Walsh.

Round 3:
Walsh opened the final round with a nice combination that backed Andrade up against the cage. Andrade countered with a takedown and he worked for a guillotine choke. Andrade switched to a Brabo choke, but Walsh escaped to his feet. He landed short knees in a clinch, but Andrade took him down again. He spent the remainder of the round striking from the top in Walsh’s guard. 10-9 Andrade.

Winner: Viscardi Andrade by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 19-6-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson defeated Chad “The Disciple” Laprise by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-30) after three rounds. He improves to 19-10-0, 1 NC with the win.

– Alan Patrick “Nuguette” Silva Alves defeated Damien “Beatdown” Brown by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 13-1-0 with the win.
