Patrick “The Predator” Côté vs Joe “Diesel” Riggs

Round 1:
Riggs jumped on Côté’s back and dragged him to the ground early in round one, but Côté reversed position and he scored with some powerful punches from the top. He pinned Riggs down against the base of the cage and landed more right hands. Riggs stood and Côté took him down once more. He worked for a kimura, but Riggs escaped. Côté moved to side control and Riggs scrambled up. Côté tried to throw him face-first to the mat before the bell. 10-9 Côté.

Round 2:
Huge punches were exchanged in round two and Riggs stunned Côté with a right hook. Côté clinched in search of a takedown, but Riggs stayed on his feet and he landed two more hooks. The fighters battled for position against the fence and Riggs briefly tripped Côté. Back on the feet, Riggs landed short elbows over the top and he took Côté’s back after a failed throw just before time expired. 10-9 Riggs.

Round 3:
Riggs took Côté down in the final round and he moved to mount after a brief scramble. Côté gave up his back and Riggs worked for a rear-naked choke, but Côté spun into his guard and unloaded with punches to the head and body. He continued to strike from the top while Riggs tried in vain to set up a triangle choke from his back. Riggs managed to get back to his feet and he threw high knees in the clinch. He dragged Côté down and took his back in the final seconds. 10-9 Côté.

Winner: Patrick Côté by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 21-9-0.

 

Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis vs Sarah Kaufman

Round 1:
Kaufman landed a nice right hand and a quick combination in the opening minute. Davis’s face swelled up and Kaufman continued to pressure her with punches. She fought free from a clinch by kneeing Davis in the midsection. Kaufman threw more punching flurries and she backed Davis up against the fence. Davis tried for a takedown and Kaufman stayed on her feet. She finished the round with another quick combination. 10-9 Kaufman.

Round 2:
Davis began to throw body kicks in round two, but Kaufman landed punches over the top and she snapped Davis’s head back with a four-punch flurry. Davis regained her footing and threw Kaufman to the mat. She landed on top in mount and attempted a triangle choke. Kaufman rolled her over, but Davis maintained the choke. Kaufman punched from the top, but Davis switched to a tight armbar and Kaufman tapped out.

Winner: Alexis Davis by Submission (Armbar) at 1:52 of round two. She improves to 17-6-0.

 

Chad “The Disciple” Laprise vs Bryan “Bam Bam” Barberena

Round 1:
Barberena opened the action with a series of leg kicks, but Laprise got his attention with a head kick in return. He followed with another one that Barberena narrowly blocked in time. A three-punch combination knocked Barberena off-balance and Laprise threw another head kick. He hurt Barberena with a spinning back kick to the liver and followed with more head kicks. Laprise picked Barberena apart with kicks and punches, then finished a combination with another spinning back kick. He grazed with a spinning backfist late in the round. 10-9 Laprise.

Round 2:
Laprise landed a left hook, body kick combo in round two and he remained a step ahead of Barberena in the early striking exchanges. The fighters traded power punches and Laprise landed a nice flurry. Barberena landed leg kicks and Laprise clinched briefly. He connected with an overhand right and missed with a spinning back kick. Barberena continued to pressure him with kicks and Laprise countered with front kicks and right hands. Much closer round. 10-9 Laprise, barely.

Round 3:
Barberena pressed the action in round three with punches and leg kicks. He tripped Laprise after landing knees to the body and Laprise quickly returned to his feet. Barberena landed an overhand left and he avoided a spinning back kick. He remained aggressive with punches and knees. Laprise connected with a nice right hook and a spinning backfist. 10-9 Barberena.

Winner: Chad Laprise by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 10-0-0.

 

Olivier “The Québec Kid” Aubin-Mercier vs David “Bulldawg” Michaud

Round 1:
Aubin-Mercier threw a head kick and a three-punch combo in the early goings and he took Michaud down against the cage. He threw knees to the thighs and tried to hop on his back. Aubin-Mercier eventually worked his way into back control and he tried to secure a rear-naked choke until the bell. 10-9 Aubin-Mercier.

Round 2:
The second round began with lunging punches and another head kick from Aubin-Mercier. He landed a right hook, but Michaud dropped him with a counter right and followed with two head kicks. Aubin-Mercier recovered and he landed a head kick of his own. He floored Michaud with a kick to the body and swarmed with punches on the ground. Michaud returned to his feet and Aubin-Mercier continued to throw kicks. Michaud tagged him with more punches and Aubin-Mercier finished the round with one more body kick. 10-9 Aubin-Mercier.

Round 3:
Aubin-Mercier took Michaud’s back and tried to drag him down to the ground in the final round. He got him down and worked for a rear-naked choke. Michaud initially defended, but Aubin-Mercier got the choke locked on and Michaud tapped out.

Winner: Olivier Aubin-Mercier by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:24 of round three. He improves to 6-1-0.

 

Nordine Taleb vs Chris “The Menace” Clements

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of hooks and chopping leg kicks. Time was called after Taleb was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Taleb landed a big left hook and a body kick. Clements threw a spinning back kick and Taleb countered with another body kick and a combination. He took Clements down, but Clements battled back to his feet against the cage. Taleb caught a kick and scored a takedown into side control. Clements got back to full guard and Taleb landed punches from the top until time expired. 10-9 Taleb.

Round 2:
Hard leg kicks and overhand rights were traded in round two until Taleb took Clements down. He struck from the top again with punches and elbows. Clements briefly stood and Taleb dumped him to the mat once more. Clements countered with a kimura, but Taleb broke free. He landed short shots from top position and peppered Clements with knees to the body in a late-round clinch. 10-9 Taleb.

Round 3:
Taleb countered a spinning back kick by taking Clements’s back and dragging him to the mat in round three. Clements stood and Taleb slammed him down again. On the feet, Clements flurried with punches and followed with a looping right hook. Taleb weathered the storm and he scored a key takedown into Clements’s guard. Taleb cut Clements badly above the right eye with elbows and he continued to score with more short strikes until the end of the fight. 10-9 Taleb.

Winner: Nordine Taleb by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 11-2-0.

 

Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau vs Jessica “The Ragin'” Rakoczy

Round 1:
After a brief exchange of punches, Rakoczy tried for a takedown, but Létourneau stayed on her feet and scored with a leg kick. Rakoczy punched to the body and took Létourneau down. Létourneau locked on a triangle choke from the bottom and added a straight armbar. Rakoczy was in all sorts of danger, but somehow managed to escape out the back. Létourneau mounted her and tried to lock on an arm-triangle choke, but Rakoczy spun free and dropped punches from the top. She moved to the scarf hold position and landed more punches as Létourneau attempted an inverted triangle choke from her back. 10-9 Létourneau.

Round 2:
Létourneau landed stiff jabs and left kicks to the upper and lower body in round two. Rakoczy clinched and Létourneau defended with knees to the thighs. The fighters separated and Létourneau mixed things up with punch-kick combos. She avoided most of Rakoczy’s single punches and landed two more liver kicks. She kicked at Rakoczy’s legs in the final 30 seconds. 10-9 Létourneau.

Round 3:
The doctor checked on Rakoczy’s swollen right eye before round three, but action resumed and Létourneau finished a four-punch flurry with a head kick that backed Rakoczy up. More kicks landed for Létourneau and Rakoczy clinched against the fence. Létourneau broke free with an elbow and she followed with a hard kick to the body. Létourneau flurried with punches and Rakoczy tied her up again. Létourneau separated and threw more body kicks. She took Rakoczy down into mount just before the bell. 10-9 Létourneau.

Winner: Valérie Létourneau by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 7-3-0.

 

Randa “Quiet Storm” Markos vs Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly

Round 1:
Both women threw hard punches throughout the opening minute and Markos repeatedly scored with right hands. Daly clinched and Markos countered with knees to the body. Daly got her down, but Markos swept into mount on the way down. She took Daly’s back and worked for a rear-naked choke, then transitioned to an arm-triangle choke from the top after a scramble. The fighters stood and Daly secured a late takedown. 10-9 Markos.

Round 2:
More big punches were exchanged early in round two and Markos landed right hooks and uppercuts. Daly tried for a takedown, but it was Markos who threw her to the mat. She landed short left hands from the scarf hold position and scored with a nice knee as Daly scrambled back to her feet. Markos reversed a takedown, but Daly immediately swept back into her guard. She cut Markos near the left eye with punches and continued to punish her with elbows. Daly tried for a standing rear-naked choke before the bell. 10-9 Daly due to the late rally.

Round 3:
Markos circled and landed right hands as Daly walked her down in the final round. Daly clinched and both women landed knees to the body. Markos threw Daly to the ground and landed in the scarf hold position again. She landed a series of left hands until Daly scrambled up to her feet. Markos reversed a takedown in mid-air and landed on top in mount. She attacked with an armbar, but Daly defended by wrapping up her arms and Markos was unable to break her grip before time expired. 10-9 Markos.
