Milana Dudieva Stops Danielle West In Brief ProFC 40 BoutRussian standout Milana Dudieva posted her eighth straight victory tonight at ProFC 40 in Volgograd, Russia. Dudieva stopped England’s Danielle “The Curse” West with punches in just 24 seconds, though the stoppage may have been premature and there was confusion following the bout.

West was aggressive right from the outset of the fight, but Dudieva kept her distance and landed a pair of counter rights that stunned her opponent on the way in. A right hook sent West to the mat and Dudieva continued to throw punches until the fight was waved off as a dejected West looked on.

Dudieva (8-1-0) went on the defensive right away as West (4-3-1) looked to close the distance with a flurry of punches. The shorter Dudieva circled away and landed two right hooks in succession; the second of which appeared to hurt West as she pressed forward. Dudieva took advantage of West’s momentary pause and landed another right hand that sent West stumbling forward to the canvas.

West rolled to her side and latched onto Dudieva’s legs as Dudieva threw more punches from the top. It appeared that West was still actively defending herself and potentially about to get back to her feet, but referee Andrei Kovalev intervened and stopped the fight. Both fighters appeared to be confused following the stoppage, but Dudieva was deemed the winner of the brief bout and she has now won eight in a row since falling in her February 2009 pro debut.

Winner: Milana Dudieva by TKO (Punches) at 0:24 of round one. She improves to 8-1-0.
