The popular Furuta puts her 105-pound belt on the line against highly-touted 17-year-old Shoot Boxing Japan Girls S-Cup winner Yukari Yamaguchi.

J-Girls officials announced the matchup today. Furuta recently fought her way to the finals of the 2015 48kg Shoot Boxing Japan Girls S-Cup tournament. Yamaguchi, who won the 2014 48kg Girls S-Cup, earned her J-Girls title shot by defeating Yuuki Kira at J-Fight 44 this past month.

The fast-rising star handily defeated former J-Girls contender Mari in a one-sided matchup on the main card.

Colleen Schneider Defeats Bryanna Fissori At Pancrase 270Bantamweight veteran Colleen “The Thoroughbred” Schneider continued her streak of victories with a hard-fought Split Decision win tonight at Pancrase 270 in Tokyo, Japan. Schneider narrowly edged out the previously unbeaten Bryanna “The Pink Ranger” Fissori in a closely-contested bout.

Schneider took an early lead on the scorecards thanks to a key takedown in the opening round, but Fissori rallied back and she dominated the middle stanza with submission attempts and ground and pound. A late takedown from Fissori in round three was not enough, and Schneider eked out the win.
