WPMF Women’s Pinweight World Champion Ayaka “Little Tiger” Miyauchi defends her title on September 27th at Suk Weerasakreck 10 in Tokyo, Japan. Miyauchi is set to face WPMF Japan Women’s Pinweight Champion Saya Ito in a battle between two of Japan’s top female kickboxers.
WPMF officials confirmed the champion versus champion matchup today following weeks of campaigning by Ito, who first set her sights on world champion Miyauchi after capturing the WPMF Japan title one year ago. The 16-year-old Ito has racked up eight straight professional Muay Thai wins.

UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk has received a new date and opponent for her next title defence. The undefeated Polish star is now set to face off against Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau at UFC 193: “Rousey vs Holm” on November 15th in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
UFC officials announced the updated matchup earlier today. Jędrzejczyk was initially slated to battle Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha in a rematch at UFC 195, but the tentative bout was scrapped due to concerns over Gadelha’s recovery from a finger injury. Létourneau is 2-0 at 115 pounds.

Brazilian standout Amanda “Lioness” Nunes vaulted up the bantamweight rankings with her biggest victory to date on August 8th at UFC Fight Night 73 in Nashville, Tennessee. Nunes destroyed former title challenger Sara McMann, and she now enters the top five in the 135-pound division.
Another key winner in August was Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau, who upset Maryna “The Iron Woman” Moroz in a featured strawweight battle at UFC Fight Night 74. Létourneau made it two-for-two since dropping down to 115 pounds, and she becomes the newest entrant into the strawweight top ten.

Former Bellator champion Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto drops back down to 115 pounds in hopes of capturing another title in her RFA debut on October 9th at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 31 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Frausto faces Jocelyn “Lights Out” Jones-Lybarger in the co-main event.
RFA officials announced the women’s strawweight championship fight today. Frausto recently signed with the promotion following a lengthy hiatus from MMA while competing in Muay Thai. Jones-Lybarger is 3-0 under the RFA banner, and she now seeks her biggest victory to date next month.
