Undefeated strawweight rising star Tecia “The Tiny Tornado” Torres faces one of her toughest tests to date on December 12th at UFC 194: “Aldo vs McGregor” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Torres is set to battle former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Michelle “The Karate Hottie” Waterson.
UFC officials announced the bout today. Torres has won back-to-back fights inside the Octagon since her stint on The Ultimate Fighter 20 this past year. Waterson kicked off her UFC career with a dominant third-round submission victory over Angela “Your Majesty” Magana at the TUF 21 Finale in July.

Deep Jewels Strawweight Champion Mizuki Inoue successfully retained her title in the Deep Jewels 9 main event tonight in Tokyo, Japan. The talented 21-year-old rebounded from a pair of tough setbacks under the Invicta FC banner by defeating Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino for a third time.
South Korean standout Ji Yeon Kim kept her undefeated record intact and captured her second pro MMA title in tonight’s co-main event. Kim, the reigning Gladiator Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeated veteran Takayo Hashi in a rematch for the Deep Jewels bantamweight title.

A UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship showdown between “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm will take place earlier than originally planned. Rousey and Holm, first set to clash at UFC 195, meet at UFC 193 on November 15th in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
UFC President Dana White announced the change tonight, which comes as a direct result of a thumb injury sustained by UFC Welterweight Champion “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler, who had been scheduled to face off against “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit in the former UFC 193 main event.

Dutch submission specialist Marloes “Rumina” Coenen earned another impressive win in her return to action tonight at Bellator 141 in Temecula, California. The former Strikeforce champion submitted Australian standout Arlene “Angerfist” Blencowe with a second-round armbar on the main card.
Coenen, who made a successful Bellator debut in October, dominated tonight’s featherweight bout with Blencowe from start to finish en route to the tapout victory. Elsewhere on the card tonight, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Adrienna “A.J.” Jenkins also picked up key wins in featured women’s bouts.

2014 48kg Shoot Boxing Japan Girls S-Cup Champion Yukari Yamaguchi is set to compete in a J-Girls mini flyweight title eliminator on September 6th at J-Fight 44 in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan. The talented 17-year-old faces off against Yuuki Kira in this year’s J-Girls mini flyweight tournament final.
Yamaguchi followed up on her successful pro MMA debut on June 21st by winning her J-Girls mini flyweight semi-final bout against Ruri three weeks later. Kira picked up a decision victory over Mari in the mini flyweight semi-finals and now looks to upset the highly-touted Yamaguchi next month.

Irish standout Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly will have the hometown crowd on her side when she returns to action on October 24th at UFC Fight Night 76: “Poirier vs Duffy” in Dublin, Leinster, Ireland. Daly is set to battle grappling ace Ericka Almeida in strawweight action on the preliminary card.
Both Daly and Almeida look to rebound from decision losses in their most recent UFC bouts. Daly was defeated by TUF 20 semi-finalist Randa “Quiet Storm” Markos at UFC 186 in April. Almeida suffered her first loss against countrywoman Juliana “Ju Thai” de Lima Carneiro at UFC Fight Night 67.

Atomweight contender Satomi “Sarami” Takano rebounded from a setback in a Deep Jewels title fight in May with a hard-fought win on Saturday night at Road Fighting Championship 25 in Wonju, Gangwon, South Korea. Takano edged out 18-year-old Jeon Eun Kim in a back-and-forth bout.
Takano’s three-fight winning streak was snapped by new atomweight champ “V.V” Mei Yamaguchi at Deep Jewels 8, but she got herself back on track on Saturday night with her second victory inside the Road FC cage. Takano’s strong final round was enough to earn her a narrow decision win.
