Ryan “Superman” Spann vs Devin “Brown Bear” Clark

Round 1:
Clark shot in for a takedown early on and Spann pulled half-guard with a guillotine choke. Clark escaped and the fight returned to the feet. Spann jabbed and Clark threw leg kicks as the round progressed. A lunging flurry landed for Clark, but action remained sparse and the crowd began to voice its displeasure. Spann landed a flurry late in the round and Clark responded with a spinning back elbow. 10-9 Clark by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Little transpired in round two until Spann hurt Clark with a lunging left hook. Spann wilted against the cage and Spann landed more punches before locking on a guillotine choke. He pulled Clark down to the mat and tightened the choke, forcing Clark to submit.

Winner: Ryan Spann by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 2:01 of round two. He improves to 17-5-0.

 

Mike “Beast Boy” Davis vs Thomas “The Young Lion” Gifford

Round 1:
Davis fired off powerful hooks right away and he backed Gifford up with a left uppercut. Gifford countered with a flurry and ate a hard right hook. The fighters clinched and Davis landed two right hands over the top. More hard punches landed for Davis and he followed with a body kick. Davis flurried to the head and body and finished with a head kick that was blocked. Davis landed more big right hands and Gifford walked right through them. He kicked in return and walked Davis down. Davis backed Gifford up with a flurry and a knee, then followed with more punches as Gifford was finally hurt. He weathered the storm of strikes from Davis and tried to dive for a leglock, but Davis closed out the round with punches from the top. 10-8 Davis.

Round 2:
Davis spun Gifford around with a leg kick to begin round two. Gifford rolled for a heel hook attempt, but Davis easily avoided it and he landed more punches after Gifford returned to his feet. Davis scored with punches and a jumping knee that briefly backed Gifford up. The fighters traded kicks and Davis backed Gifford up with a big one-two. Gifford attempted a takedown and wound up on the bottom. Davis struck from the top with punches and the fight soon returned to the feet. In the final minute, Davis landed big combinations of punches and he finished the round with a knee. 10-8 Davis.

Round 3:
Gifford landed a body kick in the final round and he continued to throw kicks as Davis landed punches. Gifford closed the distance and he dragged Davis down, but Gifford wound up on the bottom and the fight returned to the feet. Davis scored with a combination and a jumping knee, but he slowed down and Gifford pressed the action again with punches. Davis countered a leglock attempt with ground and pound from top position and the fight returned to the feet. A hard leg kick dropped Gifford, but he returned to his feet. Another leg kick knocked Gifford down and once again he got back up. In the final seconds, Davis landed a massive right hand and Gifford fell face-first to the canvas.

Winner: Mike Davis by KO (Punch) at 4:45 of round three. He improves to 8-2-0.

 

Alex “The Great White” Morono vs Max “Pain” Griffin

Round 1:
Both men landed jabs and power punches right away and Morono followed with a body kick. More punches were exchanged and Griffin connected with a hard overhand right. Morono answered back with counter right hooks and a spinning back kick to the body soon after. Two jabs and an overhand right scored for Morono, who remained the aggressor until Griffin landed a right hook. Morono scored with two more hooks and a body kick late in the competitive round. 10-9 Morono.

Round 2:
Right hands and one-twos were exchanged in the opening minute of round two. The fighters continued to trade punches and Griffin backed Morono up with a right hook and follow-up punches. Morono recovered and he countered a body shot with a hard one-two. Griffin landed a right hook and he followed with one-twos until Morono scored with a right hand in return. In the final minute, Morono dropped Griffin with a head kick and he swarmed on him with knees and punches. A dazed Griffin landed a spinning back elbow in return, but Morono landed another flurry before the bell. 10-9 Morono.

Round 3:
Griffin landed a solid combination early in the final round and he followed with jabs that kept Morono on the defensive. Griffin punched his way into a clinch and he dumped Morono to the mat. Morono scrambled back up and Griffin took him down again. Morono returned to his feet and Griffin scored a third takedown. The fighters returned to their feet and Morono attempted a standing kimura, but Griffin freed himself and he got Morono down for a fourth time before the bell. 10-9 Griffin.

Winner: Alex Morono by Unanimous Decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 17-5-0, 1 NC.

 

Deiveson “Deus da Guerra” Figueiredo vs Tim Elliott

Round 1:
Figueiredo countered an early leg kick with a powerful hook and he backed Elliott up with a left hand after a brief clinch. Figueiredo landed more left hooks and Elliott responded with back elbow strikes in close. He followed with an overhand left and both men landed punches in close. The fighters continued to trade punches until Elliott shot in for a takedown. Figueiredo immediately trapped him in a tight guillotine choke and Elliott tapped out.

Winner: Deiveson Figueiredo by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 3:08 of round one. He improves to 17-1-0.

 

Marlon “Chito” Vera vs Andre “Mr. Highlight” Ewell

Round 1:
Vera punched his way into an early clinch and he followed with a leg kick. Vera continued to control the striking exchanges until he jumped into a standing arm-triangle choke that he tightened after pulling guard. Ewell stayed calm and managed to escape, but Vera tied him up from the bottom and landed short elbows. Vera looked to set up an armbar from the bottom and he returned to his feet soon after. Vera threw a front kick and Ewell punched to the body. 10-9 Vera.

Round 2:
The second round began with more kicks from Vera and he kept Ewell on the defensive. Vera continued to throw kicks and he just missed with a knee in close after Ewell tried to clinch. Power punches were exchanged and Ewell landed a counter right hook. Vera responded with leg kicks and Ewell fired back with more right hands. Vera attempted another standing arm-triangle choke, but Ewell escaped and Vera threw knees to the legs and body in a clinch. Vera stunned Ewell late in the round with punches and knees against the fence, but Ewell recovered and fired back with right hands before the bell. 10-9 Vera.

Round 3:
Vera opened round three with punches and a body kick, but Ewell responded with uppercuts. Vera landed a knee and he ate a one-two in return. Two leg kicks hurt Ewell and Vera kept the pressure on with single kicks and punches. He jumped in with a knee and followed with more knees and elbows. Ewell jabbed in return and Vera took him down with a power guillotine choke. He postured up with hard left hands that hurt Ewell again and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Marlon Vera by TKO (Punches) at 3:17 of round three. He improves to 15-5-1.

 

Miguel “Caramel Thunder” Baeza vs Hector “El Charro” Aldana

Round 1:
Cautious leg kicks were exchanged in the opening 90 seconds until Baeza threw a head kick. The fighters continued to trade single kicks and Aldana rushed in with a brief flurry. Baeza threw front kicks and an overhand right, and he took Aldana down just before the bell. 10-9 Baeza.

Round 2:
The fighters continued to trade punches in the second round and Baeza found success with combinations and leg kicks. He dropped Aldana with another leg kick and followed with elbows on the ground until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Miguel Baeza by TKO (Leg Kick & Elbows) at 2:32 of round two. He improves to 8-0-0.

 

Marvin “The Italian Dream” Vettori vs Andrew “El Dirte” Sanchez

Round 1:
Vettori opened the fight with a hard combination and he backed Sanchez up with another one soon after. Two punches and a knee landed for Vettori as he continued to control the striking. After an exchange of one-twos, Sanchez landed a stiff jab. Vettori backed him up with punches and two knees until Sanchez circled to the side. A right hand stunned Sanchez and Vettori followed with knees again. He landed more left hands late in the round. 10-9 Vettori, if not a 10-8.

Round 2:
The second round began with Vettori landing punches that backed Sanchez up against the cage. Sanchez broke free and he landed a right hand that was answered by a body kick from Vettori. Sanchez finally landed some solid punches of his own that led to an exchange of right hooks. Vettori avoided a clinch and he fired off a four-punch flurry. In the final 30 seconds, Vettori landed a combination and a knee. 10-9 Vettori.

Round 3:
Sanchez landed a nice spinning backfist to begin the final round and Vettori circled away. He caught a kick from Sanchez and took his back in a brief clinch. The fighters separated and Vettori countered a high kick with a liver kick in return. Sanchez snuck in a right hook and followed with a leg kick in close. Vettori countered with a hook to the body and the fighters traded straight punches to the face. Vettori landed a liver kick and he ducked under a spinning backfist. In the final seconds, Vettori landed single punches and Sanchez replied with a spinning backfist and a head kick that was blocked. 10-9 Vettori.

Winner: Marvin Vettori by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 14-4-1.

 

J.J. Aldrich vs Lauren “Princess Tiger” Mueller

Round 1:
Both women landed leg kicks early on and Aldrich followed with a nice combination. She followed with more punches and Mueller answered with a body kick. Big punches were exchanged and Aldrich continued to score with straight left hands. The fighters clinched and Aldrich backed Mueller up against the cage. Aldrich tripped Mueller and she tried to take her back as the fighters stood against the fence. Both women landed knees and Mueller took Aldrich down after catching a knee late in the round. 10-9 Aldrich.

Round 2:
Both women landed hard punches at the same time early in round two. Aldrich continued to find success with straight left hands and the fighters battled for position in a clinch against the cage. Mueller bloodied Aldrich’s nose with a hard right hand and a follow-up kick. Aldrich landed punches and a spinning back kick to the liver. She tagged Mueller with another flurry and Mueller began to bleed from beside her left eye. Mueller landed a solid combination and she followed with a hard right hand. Aldrich responded with a front kick to the face just before the end of the close round. 10-9 Mueller, barely.

Round 3:
Aldrich swarmed on Mueller with punches right away in the final round and she hurt her with a left cross. Mueller clinched and Aldrich landed a one-two after breaking free. Both women landed lunging punches and Aldrich scored with a counter combination as Mueller pressed forward. Aldrich threw a spinning back kick and she followed with another flurry as Mueller struggled to land anything in return. Mueller finally landed a flurry of punches in the final minute and Aldrich answered with a one-two. She landed a combination before the bell. 10-9 Aldrich.
