Augusto Sakai vs Marcin “Tybur” Tybura

Round 1:
Sakai closed the distance and landed jabs that set up a huge right hand that hurt Tybura in the opening seconds. He followed with hooks and a knee to the body as Tybura tried to weather the storm against the cage. Sakai landed three right hands to the temple of Tybura, who fell to the mat, and the brief fight was waved off.

Winner: Augusto Sakai by KO (Punches) at 0:59 of round one. He improves to 14-1-1.

 

Miles “Chapo” Johns vs Cole “The Cole Train” Smith

Round 1:
Smith shot in for an early takedown and he eventually took Johns’s back against the cage. Johns stayed on his feet with Smith on his back as Smith looked to set up a rear-naked choke. Johns eventually turned into the clinch and Smith kept him pinned against the fence until the bell. 10-9 Smith.

Round 2:
Johns opened the second round with a quick takedown and he maintained top position until Smith initiated a scramble and took his back. Smith once again hunted for a rear-naked choke and he maintained back control until the final minute when Johns turned into his guard. Johns landed numerous punches to Smith’s face and body until the end of the round. 10-9 Johns.

Round 3:
Smith pinned Johns against the fence in the final round and he kept him there for almost three minutes, but it was Johns who landed knees and punches during the clinch time. After the break, Johns backed Smith up with punches and kicks. He dropped Smith with a jab, but Smith returned to his feet and Johns cracked him with two more right hands. Three big hooks landed for Johns and Smith clinched late in the round. Johns punched his way free before time expired. 10-9 Johns.

Winner: Miles Johns by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 10-0-0.

 

Hunter Azure vs Brad “Superman” Katona

Round 1:
Katona missed with a looping right hook and Azure answered with a leg kick. He knocked Katona off-balance with a one-two and Katona worked for a takedown against the cage after getting back to his feet. The fighters battled in the clinch and Katona landed punches until Azure broke free with a knee. He followed up with another head kick and Katona tried again for a takedown. Hr briefly took Azure’s back on the feet, but Azure turned into the clinch and broke free. Azure finished the round with punches and a head kick. Close round. 10-9 Azure due to damage.

Round 2:
Azure opened round two with a right hook to the body and a left to the head that dropped Katona, who got back to his feet and retreated as Azure threw more punches and kicks. He landed jabs and leg kicks, and followed with a hard right hook to the body as the round progressed. Azure landed a jab and an uppercut, which prompted Katona to counter with a takedown. Azure battled back to his feet against the cage and Katona briefly took him down again. The fighters battled in the clinch and both landed punches after separating just before the bell. Another close round. 10-9 Azure, again due to damage.

Round 3:
The final round began with both men landing punching combinations. Azure fired off right hands to Katona’s body and head. Katona briefly looked for a takedown and he landed a lead left uppercut after the break. Katona followed with a right hand and Azure countered with punches and a kick to the body. Katona tried to take him down and Azure stuffed it. He initiated a clinch, but Katona countered with a trip takedown and he took Azure’s back soon after. Katona attempted a rear-naked choke, but Azure shook him off of his back and wound up on top in Katona’s guard. Katona attempted a heel hook just before the end of the close fight. 10-9 Katona.

Winner: Hunter Azure by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 8-0-0.

 

Chas “The Scrapper” Skelly vs Jordan “The Native Psycho” Griffin

Round 1:
Griffin stunned Skelly early on with a lunging three-punch combo and he rushed in with more punches, but Skelly took him down and transitioned to back control. Griffin tried to stand up with Skelly on his back and Skelly hooked his leg in order to bring him back down to the mat. More punches scored for Skelly and he attacked with a standing neck crank as Griffin rose to his feet. Skelly pulled him back down to the mat and locked on a rear-naked choke, but Griffin eventually managed to escape by turning into the choke. He took top position and the fight returned to the feet. Both men landed wild looping hooks in the final seconds. 10-9 Skelly.

Round 2:
Skelly attempted a takedown early in round two, but Griffin stuffed it and he landed a head kick after the fighters returned to their feet. Griffin jabbed and used three-punch combos to set up a takedown of his own. He moved from side control to mount and dropped elbows to Skelly’s face. Skelly gave up his back and Griffin tried for a rear-naked choke, but Skelly stood up and somersaulted forward, which shook Griffin off of his back. A scramble followed and Skelly secured back control, which allowed him to hunt for a rear-naked choke of his own. He landed hammerfists and tried for chokes until the end of the close, back-and-forth round. 10-9 Skelly by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Griffin pressed the action with punches in the final round, but Skelly countered with lead left hands and a right uppercut. Griffin countered a takedown attempt with a guillotine choke, but he lost the position and Skelly moved from top control to Griffin’s back. Griffin stood and tried to slam him off, but Skelly maintained his grip. He punched to the sides of Griffin’s head and body while looking for opportunities to secure a rear-naked choke. Skelly eventually locked it in, but Griffin broke his grip and escaped. He spun into top position in Skelly’s guard and trapped him in a tight guillotine choke until time expired. 10-9 Skelly.

Winner: Chas Skelly by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 18-4-0.

 

Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka vs Ryan “Main Event” MacDonald

Round 1:
Smolka pressed the action early on with lead left hooks to the head and body. MacDonald answered with one-twos, but Smolka kept the pressure on with more left hands and flurries to the body and head. Smolka landed a hard combination to the head and he briefly looked for a takedown. More punches were exchanged and Smolka followed with a knee. MacDonald snapped his head back with a counter cross, but Smolka did not slow down and he continued to target MacDonald’s body. After a brief clinch, Smolka landed a series of left hooks to MacDonald’s liver. He hurt MacDonald with a huge left hook and followed with kicks and punches as MacDonald retreated to the cage. Smolka unloaded with punches to the body and he dropped MacDonald with a right hook to the jaw that prompted the referee to wave off the fight.

Winner: Louis Smolka by TKO (Punches) at 4:43 of round one. He improves to 16-6-0.

 

Austin “Thud” Hubbard vs Kyle “Killshot” Prepolec

Round 1:
Quick front kicks and leg kicks were exchanged right away and Prepolec scored with a hard right hand. He followed with a left hook and a head kick soon after, and remained a step ahead of Hubbard in the striking battles. Hubbard eventually landed a combination and ate a right hook in return. The fighters traded leg kicks and jabs until Prepolec landed another head kick. Big punches landed for both men and Hubbard followed with a body kick. Late in the round, Hubbard landed a leg kick, which was answered by punches and a spinning backfist from Prepolec. A right hook knocked Hubbard off-balance at the bell. 10-9 Prepolec.

Round 2:
The second round began with Prepolec landing kicks to Hubbard’s lead leg and head. Hubbard answered back with a flurry of punches and a leg kick of his own. Prepolec began to mix in body kicks and Hubbard continued to target his lead leg. Prepolec fought off one takedown attempt with an elbow, but Hubbard got him down on his second try. Prepolec battled back to his feet and the fighters traded punches. Hubbard landed a body kick and time was called after Prepolec was poked in the eye. Action resumed and both men landed kicks. Hubbard caught a head kick and took Prepolec down. Prepolec looked for an armbar and Hubbard countered by passing to half-guard. He peppered Prepolec with right hands and looked to set up a rear-naked choke late in the round. 10-9 Hubbard.

Round 3:
Hubbard shot in for a takedown early in the final round and Prepolec stuffed it. He countered with a guillotine choke as the fighters returned to their feet and followed with an elbow as the fighters separated. Hubbard got Prepolec down and he returned to a partial back control against the base of the cage. Hubbard landed short punches and elbows to the side of Prepolec’s head while looking to set up a rear-naked choke. Prepolec tried to stand up and shake Hubbard off of his back. He was eventually successful and the fight returned to the feet. Prepolec stuffed a takedown and he attempted a front choke before the final bell. 10-9 Hubbard.
