Stautzenberger, Granados & Alvarez Earn Decision Wins In TexasThree of the top female prospects in Texas earned decision victories in their home state tonight. Amber “The Apex Predator” Stautzenberger picked up her second straight win by defeating newcomer Ashley Allen in a featured strawweight matchup at Xtreme Knockout 18 in the city of Arlington.

In Corpus Christi, Paulina “Firefox” Granados made a successful pro debut by defeating atomweight Sarah “The Midget” Lagerstrom at Xtreme Combat Productions and ABG Promotions: “Rocks Extreme MMA 2,” and flyweight Audrey “The Assassin” Alvarez dispatched of Anita “El Tigre” Rodriguez.

After posting her first professional victory with an impressive first-round submission in late January, Stautzenberger (2-1-0) made it two in a row tonight with a commanding Unanimous Decision win over Allen (0-1-0), who was making her pro debut. Stautzenberger controlled the action throughout the fight and left no doubt in the judges’ minds. All three scored the bout 30-27 in Stautzenberger’s favour.

The 25-year-old will make a quick return to action to face fellow Texan Jordan Nicole “Ninja Princess” Gaza at Dakota Fighting Championships 15 on April 20th.

Fresh off of a five-round amateur title victory in December, Granados (1-0-0) kicked off her pro career with a Unanimous Decision win over Lagerstrom (0-2-0) in a 105-pound matchup. On the same card, 125-pound rising star Alvarez (2-0-0) earned her biggest win to date by defeating XFL champion Rodriguez (5-4-0), who stepped into the fight on short notice. Alvarez prevailed via a well-deserved Unanimous Decision in a standup war and remains unbeaten in her young MMA career.
