Colleen Schneider Stops Cherie Buck At Super Fight League 2Strikeforce tournament veteran Colleen “The Beautiful Disaster” Schneider earned her second win as a professional tonight at Super Fight League 2 in Chandigarh, India. Schneider stopped England’s Cherie Buck with a barrage of punches and elbows midway through round two of the night’s co-feature.

While both fighters took the bout on short notice, Schneider appeared to be well-prepared right from the opening bell and she controlled much of round one on the ground. Schneider wasted little time in taking Buck down again in the second round before finishing her off with strikes from the top.

Schneider (2-3-0) and Buck (2-2-1) traded kicks early on until Schneider scored a takedown straight into side control. She kept Buck pinned down and worked for a far-side Kimura, then postured up and flurried with punches. Schneider stood and kicked at Buck’s legs until referee Yuji Shimada brought the fight back to the feet. Buck soon looked to set up a punching combination and more leg kicks were exchanged. A spinning backfist missed the mark for Buck late in the round and she ate a hard counter right hook for her troubles.

Seconds into round two, Schneider dropped levels and took Buck down once again. She passed to side control and used short strikes to methodically set up a move to a top-side crucifix position. Once there, Schneider pinned down Buck’s arms and prevented her from defending. Schneider landed a series of punches and elbows and the fight was waved off just as a cut was opened next to Buck’s right eye.

With the impressive victory, Schneider has now won two of her past three fights after suffering setbacks in her first two pro bouts.

Winner: Colleen Schneider by TKO (Punches & Elbows) at 2:29 of round two. She improves to 2-3-0.
