Two of the UFC’s top welterweight contenders will square off this Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada when former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz battles former WEC titleholder Carlos Condit. Diaz and Condit meet in the main event of UFC 143 for the UFC Interim Welterweight Championship.

Saturday’s UFC card also features a heavyweight matchup pitting Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum against fellow Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Roy “Big Country” Nelson in a bout that could return the winner to title contender status. MMAGirls’ Joanne Spracklen previews Saturday’s UFC 143 card.
