GirlFight Global Plans To Air All Events In 3DIn addition to signing many of the top fighters from all over the world, the all-female GirlFight Global promotion plans to be the first MMA promotion to air all of its events in 3D. This unique plan would apply to all GFG shows, beginning with the debut event now targeted for early in 2011.

More information, including the promotion’s core management team that will handle all signings and day-to-day operations, will be released in the coming weeks. A worldwide television deal and distribution in select theatres in the United States is also targeted for next year, starting with the first event.

Megumi Fujii, Zoila Frausto Advance To Bellator Women's FinalMegumi “Mega Megu” Fujii and Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto both picked up wins tonight at Bellator 31 to advance to the finals of the Bellator 115-pound women’s tournament. However, they did so in very different fashions. Fujii submitted Lisa Ward in just 99 seconds, while Frausto escaped with a controversial decision win over Jessica “Jag” Aguilar.

Despite circling away throughout the fight and being soundly dominated in the final round, two judges inexplicably gave all three rounds to Frausto, who was battered, bloodied and outstruck by the American Top Team standout.

Julia Budd vs Shana Olsen At Strikeforce Challengers 11Canadian Muay Thai Champion Julia “The Jewel” Budd will make her pro MMA debut as part of the October 22nd Strikeforce Challengers 11 card. The British Columbia native, who is the only woman to ever defeat Gina Carano in Muay Thai, will face Shana “Rock Solid” Olsen at 145 pounds.

News of the fight was first reported by The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo on Wednesday evening. MMARising.com has since confirmed that the fight is signed. Olsen has won all four of her MMA bouts to date and is on a short list of title contenders for Strikeforce champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos.

Shinya Aoki To Face Yokthai Sithoar At DEEP: 50th ImpactReigning DREAM Lightweight Champion Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki will indeed compete at DEEP: 50th Impact on October 24th. The submission specialist will take on former WBA and PABA boxing champion Yokthai Sithoar of Thailand. Sithoar has not competed as a boxer since June 2004 and will make his MMA debut against Aoki.

MMARising.com first reported on Aoki’s participation on the card earlier this month. As expected, he will not be facing one of DEEP’s top contenders. Sithoar holds a 29-6-3 record in boxing, but was 0-3-2 in his final five fights.

Paul Daley vs Scott Smith Added To Strikeforce: St. LouisA hard-hitting welterweight bout between Paul “Semtex” Daley and Scott “Hands of Steel” Smith has been added to the upcoming Strikeforce: St. Louis event on December 4th. The fight, which was officially announced today, joins a light heavyweight rematch between Dan “Hendo” Henderson and Renato “Babalu” Sobral on the televised main card.

Smith was initially expected to face local standout Jesse Finney on the St. Louis card, but will instead take on Daley, who recently inked a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce. Daley has won six of his last seven fights.

Two Title Fights Set For Valkyrie 8 In NovemberJust two days after Valkyrie 7, Greatest Common Multiple has already announced a pair of title fights for its next all-female card at Valkyrie 8 on November 28th. Valkyrie Featherweight (115-Pound) Champion Mei “V Hajime” Yamaguchi will defend her title in a rematch with top contender Kyoko Takabayashi. Yamaguchi edged Takabayashi last July.

Also announced for the card was the final of the Valkyrie Open-Weight Grand Prix. Unbeaten prospect Rin Nakai will rematch Mizuho Sato to determine the first Valkyrie Open-Weight Champion.
