“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler vs Niko “The Hybrid” Price

Round 1:
Lawler connected with an early one-two and then followed with a lead right hook as Price closed the distance. Lawler landed two left hooks, an uppercut and a final hook to Price’s temple that crumpled him to the mat and ended the fight.

Winner: Robbie Lawler by KO (Punches) at 0:38 of round one. He improves to 30-16-0, 1 NC.

 

Tatsuro Taira vs Edgar “Pitbull” Chairez

Round 1:
Taira landed two strong leg kicks in the opening minute. He continued to kick Chairez’s lead leg, but Chairez landed one of his own and knocked Taira down with a counter left hook. Taira swept and Chairez held on to a guillotine choke from the bottom. Taira used the submission against him by pushing down on a shoulder choke from the top. Chairez was repeatedly warned for clawing his toes around the cage mesh. Taira moved to a modified top-side crucifix and he landed elbows to Chairez’s face and body. 10-9 Taira.

Round 2:
Taira took Chairez down and easily avoided a guillotine choke in round two. He passed to mount and Chairez rolled to his side in order to get back to half-guard. Taira struck from the top and then returned to mount. He landed short elbows and then postured up with punches. Taira landed more punches and elbows, then locked on a mounted triangle choke and rolled to his back. However, time was about to expire and Chairez made it to the bell. 10-8 Taira.

Round 3:
Chairez landed two right hands and a long jab during the final round. Taira shot in for a takedown and he got Chairez down near the cage wall. Taira moved to half-guard and eyed an arm-triangle choke before posturing up with forearm strikes. He punched with his right hand and then held Chairez in a front headlock as Chairez stood. Chairez pulled guard with a tight guillotine choke and rolled over with it into mount, but Taira held on until the end of the fight. Close final round. 10-9 Chairez due to the late submission rally.

Winner: Tatsuro Taira by Unanimous Decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27) after three rounds. He improves to 14-0-0.

 

Denise Gomes vs Yazmin Jauregui

Round 1:
Gomes immediately dropped Jauregui with three right hooks. Jauregui desperately held on to Gomes’s leg as Gomes blasted her with left hands to the side of her face. Jauregui appeared to go in and out of consciousness multiple times as Gomes landed numerous left hands until the bout was waved off.

Winner: Denise Gomes by TKO (Punches) at 0:20 of round one. She improves to 8-2-0.

 

“Atomic” Alonzo Menifield vs Jimmy “The Brute” Crute

Round 1:
The fighters kept their distance and circled in the opening minute, then eventually clinched and battled for position against the cage. Crute landed knees to the body and Menifield responded with a flurry of punches after briefly separating from the clinch. In the final 90 seconds, another clinch battle ensued with both men landing short knees. Even round. 10-9 Menifield by a slim margin due to damage.

Round 2:
Menifield landed a counter right hook and two jabs in the second round. Crute took him down, but Menifield quickly rose to his feet and trapped Crute in a guillotine choke. He used it to push Crute down to the ground while maintaining the choke from top position and Crute tapped.

Winner: Alonzo Menifield by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:55 of round two. He improves to 14-3-1.

 

Vitor “Icão” Petrino vs Marcin Prachnio

Round 1:
Following an exchange of punches, the fighters clinched against the cage. After they separated, Petrino threw two head kicks and a lead left hook. He picked Prachnio up and dumped him to the mat. Prachnio got back to his feet and Petrino partially landed with another head kick. He kicked at Prachnio’s body and took him down into half-guard. He kept him there until the bell. 10-9 Petrino.

Round 2:
Petrino reversed a throw attempt from Prachnio and got him down early in round two. He passed to half-guard and then eyed a far-side kimura on Prachnio’s left arm. Prachnio punched with his free hand and Petrino let the submission attempt go. He took Prachnio’s back and secured a rear-naked choke, but Prachnio broke Petrino’s grip. Petrino spent the rest of the round landing elbows from the top in Prachnio’s half-guard. 10-9 Petrino.

Round 3:
Both men landed leg kicks and Prachnio followed with an overhand right. Petrino ultimately took the fight to the ground and he worked his way into mount. He locked on a mounted arm-triangle choke and Prachnio tapped out.

Winner: Vitor Petrino by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 3:42 of round three. He improves to 9-0-0.

 

Cameron Saaiman vs Terrence “Terr-Bear” Mitchell

Round 1:
Mitchell shot in for an early takedown, but he found himself trapped in a guillotine choke on the ground. Saaiman stood and tried for a takedown of his own, but he wound up on the bottom again and postured for a triangle choke. He switched to an armbar and used it to sweep into top position. He moved from S-mount to back control and flattened Mitchell out. Saaiman landed a series of unanswered left hands to the side of Mitchell’s head and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Cameron Saaiman by TKO (Punches) at 3:10 of round one. He improves to 9-0-0.

 

Jesus Santos Aguilar vs Shannon “The Turkish Delight” Ross

Round 1:
The fighters briefly circled and Aguilar landed a massive overhand right that sent Ross crashing unconscious to the mat and ended the fight in an instant.

Winner: Jesus Santos Aguilar by KO (Punch) at 0:17 of round one. He improves to 9-2-0.

 

Esteban “El Gringo” Ribovics vs Kamuela “The Jawaiian” Kirk

Round 1:
Kirk scored an easy takedown in the opening 30 seconds and he worked to pass from half-guard to mount. Ribovics gave up his back and Kirk hunted for a rear-naked choke. Ribovics defended and Kirk continued to work for the choke throughout the round. He briefly mounted Ribovics in the final seconds and tried to secure an arm-triangle choke from the top. 10-9 Kirk.

Round 2:
Kirk landed a one-two and a hard leg kick to begin round two. Ribovics fired back with a flurry of punches and Kirk clinched after ducking under a head kick. Ribovics swept out Kirk’s leg, but Kirk returned to his feet and threw a flying knee. Jabs were exchanged and Ribovics fought off a takedown attempt. Kirk landed a right-left combo and Ribovics lunged forward with an overhand right. Ribovics rocked Kirk with a right hook and dropped him with follow-up punches. He dove in with more strikes on the ground and Kirk weathered the storm. Back on the feet, Ribovics landed non-stop punches during the final 20 seconds. 10-9 Ribovics.

Round 3:
Time was called early in the final round when Kirk was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Ribovics landed a jab-cross combo and a leg kick. He followed with a body kick, but Kirk took him down into half-guard. He almost passed to mount while setting up an arm-triangle choke, but Ribovics got his legs in and returned to full guard, then stood up. He landed a right cross and a jab, then a big right hook. Kirk was able to take Ribovics down very briefly. On the feet, Ribovics flurried to the body and head. Kirk got him down, but Ribovics landed short punches throughout the battle on the ground and the fighters stood before the bell. 10-9 Ribovics.

Winner: Esteban Ribovics by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-1-0.
