Viacheslav “Slava” Borshchev vs Maheshate Hayisaer

Round 1:
Hayisaer landed an early right hook and he circled to his left. Borshchev landed a left hook to the body and partially blocked a head kick. Hayisaer grazed with an uppercut and Borshchev landed a front kick to the body in response. Borshchev countered a jab from Hayisaer with a head kick and time was called when Borshchev was poked in the eye. He sustained a cut on his upper left eyelid, but the fight continued and both men landed jabs. Hayisaer landed two counter right hooks as Borshchev pressed forward, but Borshchev dropped him with a counter right in the final seconds. Hayisaer got back to his feet and Borshchev unloaded with punches until the end of the round. 10-9 Borshchev due to the late knockdown.

Round 2:
Borshchev cut Hayisaer on both sides of his upper lip with punches early in the second round. He ducked under a jab from Hayisaer and connected with a right hook. He dropped Hayisaer momentarily with a right hand, but Hayisaer recovered quickly and rose to his feet. A left-right combo sent Hayisaer crashing to the mat and Borshchev followed up with punches as Hayisaer covered up, resulting in the fight being stopped.

Winner: Viacheslav Borshchev by TKO (Punches) at 2:37 of round two. He improves to 7-3-0.

 

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Crystal Vanessa “Lil’ Monster” Demopoulos

Round 1:
Kowalkiewicz caught a body kick and backed Demopoulos up with three right hands. Demopoulos’s face reddened as Kowalkiewicz landed another combination. Kowalkiewicz stuffed a takedown, but Demopoulos landed a hard left hook on the break. Kowalkiewicz answered with two right hooks and a leg kick. She clinched and landed an elbow and two punches before backing away. In the final minute, Kowalkiewicz landed two right hooks. She followed up with another solid right hand before the bell. 10-9 Kowalkiewicz.

Round 2:
A hard jab scored for Kowalkiewicz in the second round and she countered a Demopoulos body kick with a right hook. Kowalkiewicz landed another jab and a leg kick, then followed with a head kick that was mostly blocked. As Kowalkiewicz landed a combination, Demopoulos countered with a back elbow strike. Kowalkiewicz backed Demopoulos up with a three-punch combo and she used her jab to set up a straight right. Late in the round, Kowalkiewicz landed two right crosses. 10-9 Kowalkiewicz.

Round 3:
Demopoulos opened the final round with a cartwheel for no apparent reason, and Kowalkiewicz took her down into half-guard. She moved to side control and landed short elbows and left hands to the side of Demopoulos’s face. Demopoulos got back to full guard and then spun into a heel hook. Kowalkiewicz easily escaped and stood up. She landed an uppercut and two jabs, then an overhand right. Demopoulos’s punches came up short and Kowalkiewicz landed jab after jab. She bloodied Demopoulos’s nose and also opened a cut beside her left eye. Late in the round, Kowalkiewicz landed right hooks and two hard jabs. 10-9 Kowalkiewicz.

Winner: Karolina Kowalkiewicz by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 15-7-0.

 

Gilbert Urbina vs Orion “Galaxy” Cosce

Round 1:
Urbina backed Cosce up with an early flurry of punches, but Cosce recovered and he landed a one-two. Urbina took him down and he kneed Cosce’s body as Cosce stood up. Urbina dumped him to the mat again and passed to full mount. He landed four elbows and then switched to left hands. Urbina attempted an arm-triangle choke from mount, then postured up and rained down punches. Cosce was saved by the bell. 10-9 Urbina, if not a 10-8.

Round 2:
The pace slowed down in the second round as single strikes were exchanged and neither man committed to any sustained offence. Urbina hurt Cosce with a front kick to the body, then followed with a second one that doubled Cosce over. Urbina followed up with two knees and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Gilbert Urbina by TKO (Kick To The Body & Knees) at 2:55 of round two. He improves to 7-2-0.

 

Rodrigo “Yogi Bear” Nascimento Ferreira vs Ilir “The Sledgehammer” Latifi

Round 1:
Nascimento closed the distance early on and he landed a combination as Latifi ducked his head and tried to clinch. Latifi struggled to find his range and Nascimento cracked him with a lead left hook. Latifi scored with a leg kick and Nascimento answered with a one-two. Latifi landed two more leg kicks and Nascimento replied with another two-punch combo and an uppercut. He landed one more quick combination late in the round. 10-9 Nascimento.

Round 2:
It was Nascimento who landed two leg kicks early in the second round. He jabbed and forced Latifi to circle away to his left. Latifi finally elevated Nascimento into the air and threw him down to the mat. He threw short right hands to Nascimento’s body and stayed just busy enough to avoid being stood up. 10-9 Latifi.

Round 3:
After an exchange of punches, Latifi landed a leg kick and circled on the outside. Nascimento stunned Latifi with a left hook and a cut was opened below Latifi’s right eye. Time was called and Latifi was warned for grabbing Nascimento’s shorts during a clinch. Action continued and Nascimento landed an uppercut. Latifi took him down and he held a kneeling Nascimento against the base of the cage. Nascimento stood and he eventually broke free from the clinch with 25 seconds remaining. Latifi landed two left hooks before the bell. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Nascimento by a narrow margin.

Winner: Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 10-1-0, 1 NC.

 

Chase “The Dream” Hooper vs Nick Fiore

Round 1:
Hooper lunged forward and briefly tripped Fiore early in the fight. Fiore stood and Hooper held his back. He tried to set up a leg submission in a subsequent scramble, but wound up on the bottom and Fiore pinned him down in North-South position. He attempted an inverted triangle choke, but Hooper scrambled free and rose to his feet. Punches were exchanged and Fiore landed a lead right hook. Hooper threw a head kick and then a side kick to Fiore’s body. Fiore threw him down and Hooper countered by moving into a rear crucifix while punching Fiore’s face. In the final seconds, Hooper hurt Fiore with an elbow and he swarmed on him with a barrage of punches and elbows as Fiore covered up on the feet. The fight was not stopped and Fiore barely made it to the bell. 10-9 Hooper.

Round 2:
Fiore caught a kick and tripped Hooper in round two. He passed to mount and Hooper immediately countered with a heel hook attempt from the bottom. The fighters stood and Hooper pressed forward with uppercuts that knocked Fiore’s mouthpiece out. Hooper continued to land punches until a brief break in the action allowed for Fiore’s mouthpiece to be put back in. Hooper landed a one-two and an elbow, then followed with two knees to Fiore’s body. Hooper continued to land punches and elbows, as well as a head kick. Fiore circled away and Hooper held him in a late clinch. Fiore reversed a throw and he finished the round in a crucifix on Hooper’s back. 10-9 Hooper.

Round 3:
Fiore threw Hooper to the mat and Hooper looked to set up a triangle choke from the bottom. He kicked Fiore off and got back to his feet. Hooper ducked his head and pressed forward with overhand punches, then took Fiore down. Fiore once again transitioned to a crucifix as Hooper tried to turn over into side control. He did so, then stood over Fiore and dropped punches to his face. Fiore got back to his feet and Hooper landed a left hook and an elbow. He followed with another combination and then dumped Fiore to the mat. Fiore got to his knees and Hooper peppered him with left hands to the face until the end of the fight. 10-9 Hooper.

Winner: Chase Hooper by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 12-3-1.

 

Natália Cristina da Silva vs Victoria “Fury” Leonardo

Round 1:
Leonardo landed two right hands early in the fight and she blocked a head kick. Da Silva landed a jab-cross combo and Leonardo’s right eye began to swell up. Da Silva dropped Leonardo with a lead left hook and Leonardo bled heavily from her nose as she got back to her feet. Da Silva stunned Leonardo with one more right hook and followed with a head kick. Leonardo retreated to the cage and covered up, and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Natália Cristina da Silva by TKO (Punch & Head Kick) at 2:58 of round one. She improves to 15-5-1.

 

Themba “The Answer” Gorimbo vs Takashi “Ten” Sato

Round 1:
Sato fought off an early takedown attempt and Gorimbo held him against the cage. Sato reversed with a very brief throw, but Gorimbo stood and he took Sato down. Sato got to his feet against the fence and Gorimbo threw short right hands and a knee to his body. He tripped Sato and took his back, then spent the remainder of the round hunting for a rear-naked choke while maintaining back control. 10-9 Gorimbo.

Round 2:
Gorimbo dropped Sato with a big right hook to begin the second round and he immediately pounced with ground and pound. Sato weathered the storm and he made it back to his feet. In a clinch, Sato landed a knee to Gorimbo’s body and he threw him down into the scarf hold position. Gorimbo escaped out the back and he attempted a heel hook on Sato’s left leg. The fight returned to the feet and Sato elbowed the side of Gorimbo’s head as Gorimbo worked for a takedown. Sato broke free with two knees to Gorimbo’s body and Gorimbo answered with a right hook. He took Sato down once more before the bell. 10-9 Gorimbo.

Round 3:
The final round began with another clinch battle against the cage and Gorimbo held Sato in place. He tripped Sato and took his back as Sato tried to get to his feet. Gorimbo secured a body triangle as he tried to set up a rear-naked choke. Late in the round, Sato turned over into Gorimbo’s guard and he threw elbows and punches from the top as Gorimbo covered up. Close final round due to Sato’s late rally. 10-9 Gorimbo.

Winner: Themba Gorimbo by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 11-4-0.
