Martin “Badys” Buday vs Jake “The Prototype” Collier

Round 1:
Collier was aggressive right away with jabs and he used them to set up overhand rights. Buday briefly clinched with him, but Collier circled away and he landed a leg kick and a left hook. More jabs scored for Collier and he remained on the offensive. Collier landed an elbow and Buday finally connected with a right hook. Collier dropped him with a leg kick and he punched the sides of Buday’s head after taking his back. 10-9 Collier.

Round 2:
It was more of the same in the second round and Collier kept Buday on the defensive with more jabs. He clinched with Buday and landed a knee to the body. Buday pushed him away and landed an uppercut as Collier slowed down. Buday hurt Collier with a knee to the body and a series of uppercuts in close. Collier recovered and Buday landed a combination. Collier clinched after landing a jab and Buday threw a knee in response. 10-9 Buday.

Round 3:
Buday landed two uppercuts as Collier closed in and clinched. Time was called when Collier was poked badly in his right eye. The fight continued after two minutes and both men landed leg kicks. Buday flurried with punches to Collier’s body and head. Collier landed a lead left hook and clinched with Buday against the fence. Collier shot in for a takedown and failed, and Buday pushed him down to the ground. He mounted Collier and punched him in the ribs. Buday gave up mount and Collier got to his knees. Buday stood over him and threw uppercuts to his face before taking Collier’s back once more. 10-9 Buday.

Winner: Martin Buday by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-1-0.

 

Cody Durden vs Charles “InnerG” Johnson

Round 1:
Johnson slipped while throwing a kick and he latched on to Durden’s left leg. Durden freed the leg and he jumped on Johnson’s back as Johnson stood up. Durden maintained a body triangle while trying to set up a rear-naked choke. He eventually released the body triangle and tripped Johnson to the mat momentarily. Johnson broke free from the clinch and Durden landed a hard leg kick. He followed with an uppercut and another leg kick. Durden took Johnson down with 45 seconds remaining and Johnson transitioned to an inverted triangle choke from the bottom. Durden held on until the bell. 10-9 Durden.

Round 2:
Durden punched his way into a clinch and he dragged Johnson down into back control. He stayed on Johosn’s back as Johnson stood up against the cage. Durden pulled Johnson down to the ground again and maintained back control. Johnson eventually worked back to his feet and the fighters traded punches. Johnson landed a liver kick and a knee late in the round. 10-9 Durden despite Johnson’s late rally.

Round 3:
Johnson was aggressive in the final round and he used his jab to set up straight left hands. He followed with a knee in a clinch and then backed Durden up with more jabs. Johnson stuffed a takedown, but Durden cracked him with a right hook. He finally got Johnson down and took his back as Johnson stood against the cage. Durden maintained a standing body triangle until the final minute when he pulled Johnson down to the mat. Johnson stood again and tried unsuccessfully to shake Durden off. 10-9 Durden.

Winner: Cody Durden by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 15-4-1.

 

Irina “Russian Ronda” Alekseeva vs Stephanie Egger

Round 1:
Alekseeva missed with early kick attempts and Egger landed a leg kick and a quick combination. She jabbed and began to attack Alekseeva’s lead leg with calf kicks. Egger landed a hard right hook and Alekseeva charged forward with punches that mostly missed. Egger clinched and Alekseeva dropped down for a kneebar. She wrenched back on Egger’s leg and Egger immediately tapped out.

Winner: Irina Alekseeva by Submission (Kneebar) at 2:11 of round one. She improves to 5-1-0.

 

Marcus “The Maniac” McGhee vs Journey Newson

Round 1:
McGhee pressured Newson with lead left hands throughout the first half of round one. He landed one-twos and avoided counter right hands from Newson, which prompted Newson to drop levels for a takedown. He very briefly got McGhee down, but McGhee stood and landed a left cross. Late in the round, McGhee landed a knee to the body and he went high with a head kick that was partially blocked. 10-9 McGhee.

Round 2:
McGhee backed Newson up against the cage and Newson worked for a takedown after reversing the clinch. He got McGhee down momentarily, but McGhee got to his feet and he dropped Newson with a left cross. As Newson tried to recover on the ground, McGhee took his back and locked on a rear-naked choke. Newson did not defend well and he tapped out.

Winner: Marcus McGhee by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:03 of round two. He improves to 7-1-0.

 

Jamey-Lyn Horth vs “All Hail” Hailey Cowan

Round 1:
Horth landed an early leg kick and she stayed outside of Cowan’s punching range. A body kick also landed for Horth, who followed with another one soon after. Horth scored with a body kick, right hook combo and then clinched with Cowan against the cage. The fighters traded elbows and Cowan reversed the clinch. Horth landed a right hook on the break and then a head kick. Cowan shot in for a takedown and Horth countered with a standing guillotine choke. Cowan freed her neck and held Horth against the fence. Horth landed another right hook on the break and Cowan threw a quick flurry before the bell. 10-9 Horth.

Round 2:
The second round began with a clinch as the fighters battled for position. Horth pushed Cowan away and landed a nice right hook. She cracked her with another right hand and a body kick, but Cowan finally secured a takedown. Horth elevated Cowan off of her and got back to her feet. Cowan landed a knee to the body and Horth countered with a right hook. She threw two side kicks to the body and Cowan blocked a head kick. She charged forward with a combination that ended with an uppercut. Horth landed a body kick and a right hook in the final seconds, but Cowan tripped her to the mat. Very close round. 10-9 Cowan by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Horth landed a knee to the body and Cowan tried to take her down, but Horth grabbed the cage and she was warned for the foul. Cowan got her down, but Horth scrambled and took Cowan’s back as the fighters returned to their feet. They separated and Cowan landed a straight left. Horth scored with a kick to the body and she threw a head kick that was partially blocked. With one minute to go, Horth jabbed and landed a right cross. Cowan answered with an overhand right and she blocked a head kick. Horth threw more kicks to Cowan’s upper body and Cowan took her down. Another competitive round. 10-9 Horth.

Winner: Jamey-Lyn Horth by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 6-0-0.
