Cody Brundage vs Tresean “Mr. Vicious” Gore

Round 1:
Brundage took Gore down right away and he held on to his back as Gore stood up. Gore escaped from the clinch and Brundage landed a step-in elbow. Gore landed two leg kicks and Brundage threw one to the body. Gore jabbed and he landed another leg kick. He chopped away at Brundage’s lead leg with more kicks, but Brundage floored him with a counter right hook. Gore was badly dazed on the ground and Brundage mounted him. He dropped more punches to Gore’s face and Gore was briefly rendered unconscious, ending the fight.

Winner: Cody Brundage by KO (Punches) at 3:50 of round one. He improves to 8-2-0.

 

Antonina “La Pantera” Shevchenko vs Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey

Round 1:
The fighters exchanged punches one at a time during the opening minute and Shevchenko began to score with body kicks. Casey landed a nice right cross in response and Shevchenko, bleeding from her nose, threw side kicks to her body. She followed with a crescent kick, but Casey caught it and she pulled guard. Casey punched from the bottom as Shevchenko offered little offence from the top. She stood up and landed one kick to Casey’s legs before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Casey by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Shevchenko countered a body kick with a jab in the second round and she looked to set up side kickswhile keeping her distance. Casey punched her way into a clinch, but Shevchenko broke free and circled away to her left. Casey landed a hard right hand and Shevchenko circled again. She landed a side kick to Casey’s face and another to her midsection. Shevchenko continued to throw side kicks until Casey clinched with her. Shevchenko pushed her away and Casey fell when she missed badly with a head kick attempt. As Casey stood up, Shevchenko landed a head kick of her own. Casey charged at Shevchenko and she landed two solid right hands in the final 15 seconds. 10-9 Shevchenko.

Round 3:
Shevchenko had more success with side kicks in the final round while also preventing Casey from clinching. Shevchenko just missed with a spinning backfist and Casey held her against the cage. She got Shevchenko down into side control and tried to pass to mount. Shevchenko held her in half-guard, but Casey struck from the top and then stood up. Shevchenko followed and Casey landed a knee before the fighters separated. Casey landed a right hook and an uppercut. Shevchenko attempted a headlock throw and she gave up back control in the process. She tried to roll over and Casey mounted her in the process. Shevchenko was able to power out from the bottom and stand up, and she landed knees in a clinch. Casey took her back down and the fight came to an end. 10-9 Casey.

Winner: Antonina Shevchenko by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. She improves to 10-4-0.

 

David “Silent Assassin” Onama vs Garrett Armfield

Round 1:
Armfield initiated a clinch in the opening minute, but Onama took his back against the cage. Armfield spun around and reversed into a standing back control himself. Onama used a rolling kimura to pull Armfield down to the ground, but Armfield stayed on top and he landed punches briefly before Onama got to his feet. Punches were exchanged and Armfield landed a hard left hook. The fighters continued to trade hooks and Armfield clinched. Onama stuffed a takedown and he landed a combination and a jab, followed by a left hook. Close opening round. 10-9 Armfield.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange of strikes and Armfield landed a combination before shooting in for a takedown. Onama defended well and he took Armfield’s back. Armfield got to his feet and Onama took him down once more. He locked on an arm-triangle choke from the top and passed from mount to side control. The choke became tighter and tighter as Armfield tried to hold on. He was eventually rendered unconscious and referee Mike Beltran waved off the fight.

Winner: David Onama by Technical Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 3:13 of round two. He improves to 10-1-0.

 

Kennedy “African Savage” Nzechukwu vs Karl “Baby K” Roberson

Round 1:
Time was called very early in the fight when Roberson was kicked in the groin. The fight resumed and a clinch battle ensued against the cage. Nzechukwu dumped Roberson to the mat and he repeatedly worked for rear-naked chokes after taking partial back control. Roberson got to his feet for all of two seconds before he was taken down again. Nzechukwu threatened with two more rear-naked choke attempts, but the angle was wrong and Roberson escaped both times. He rose to his feet and the round ended in a clinch. 10-9 Nzechukwu.

Round 2:
Roberson opened the second round with two liver kicks, but he was quickly taken down and Nzechukwu punched the sides of his head. Roberson fought off another rear-naked choke attempt, but he was not able to get back to his feet until he finally did so with one minute remaining. Nzechukwu swept out his leg and he attempted one more rear-naked choke. Roberson turned to his left and sat up against the cage, where Nzechukwu held him down until the bell. 10-9 Nzechukwu.

Round 3:
Roberson circled on the outside and he landed a left hook in round three. Nzechukwu closed the distance and tripped him to the mat. Nzechukwu passed to mount and he tried unsuccessfully for an arm-triangle choke. Nzechukwu let it go and he landed three hard elbows that forced Roberson to give up his back. Nzechukwu threw more elbows and the one-sided fight was stopped.

Winner: Kennedy Nzechukwu by TKO (Elbows) at 2:19 of round three. He improves to 10-3-0.

 

Saidyokub Kakhramonov vs Ronnie “The Heat” Lawrence

Round 1:
Kakhramonov landed an early right hand and Lawrence looked for a takedown, which led to a clinch against the cage. Kakhramonov threw Lawrence down to the mat and he worked from the top in half-guard. Lawrence, bleeding from his nose, got back to full guard and he eventually rose to his feet. Kakhramonov took him back down each time Lawrence stood up. He struck from the top with short punches as Lawrence continued to bleed heavily from his nose. The round ended with Kakhramonov landing left hands to Lawrence’s face. 10-9 Kakhramonov.

Round 2:
Lawrence landed a right cross and a lead left uppercut in the second round, but he was promptly taken back down. Kakhramonov worked from Lawrence’s half-guard and he threw shoulder strikes to his face. Lawrence finally got back to full guard and Kakhramonov blasted him with three punches. Lawrence stood and he secured a very brief takedown of his own, which was immediately reversed. The fighters stood back up and Kakhramonov held Lawrence against the fence until the bell. 10-9 Kakhramonov.

Round 3:
The final round began with Lawrence landing a spinning back kick to the body. Kakhramonov took him down and Lawrence tried to set up an omoplata from the bottom. Kakhramonov powered out of it and he struck from the top until Lawrence got to his knees and tried to stand up. Kakhramonov landed a series of left hands to the side of his face until Lawrence stood. He was taken right back down into North-South position. Lawrence was able to scramble his way back to full guard, but that is all that he could do in the final minute. 10-9 Kakhramonov.

Winner: Saidyokub Kakhramonov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 10-2-0.
