Jared “Flash” Gordon vs Joe Solecki

Round 1:
Solecki wasted no time in taking Gordon down and he mounted him within the first 20 seconds. Gordon scrambled back to half-guard, but Solcki passed to side control and held him against the base of the cage. He landed left hands from the top and then took Gordon’s back. Solecki calmly worked for rear-naked chokes and Gordon fought off each one. Solecki landed punches to the side of his head and Gordon stood up with Solecki hanging from his neck. Solecki pulled Gordon back down with a guillotine choke, but Gordon freed his head and finished the round with punches from top position. 10-9 Solecki.

Round 2:
The second round began with Solecki taking Gordon down to a knee against the cage. Gordon stood and he landed a knee and three elbows to the side of Solecki’s head. Solecki got Gordon down, but Gordon quickly swept from the bottom and he wound up on top in Solecki’s guard. Gordon spent the remaining two minutes of the round landing short left hands to Solecki’s face while preventing him from standing up. 10-9 Gordon.

Round 3:
Both fighters were tentative on the feet in the final round. Solecki jabbed and Gordon responded with slow kicks to his left leg that were mostly dodged. Gordon landed a combination and Solecki used his jab to set up a right cross. Gordon shot in for a takedown and he got Solecki down on his second try. Solecki returned to his feet and the fighters clashed heads as Gordon initiated another clinch. A large gash was opened on the right side of Gordon’s head, as well as one above Solecki’s left eye, and Gordon landed more short punches while pursuing a takedown. Solecki stayed on his feet and the fighters traded punches in the final seconds. 10-9 Gordon.

Winner: Jared Gordon by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 18-4-0.

 

“King” Casey O’Neill vs Antonina “La Pantera” Shevchenko

Round 1:
Shevchenko circled from side to side and landed quick left hands, but O’Neill secured a clinch and tried for a takedown. Shevchenko was able to reverse it on the way down and she wound up on top in side control. Shevchenko isolated O’Neill’s left arm and trapped her in a top-side crucifix. She briefly landed punches and O’Neill exploded out from the bottom. On the feet, Shevchenko landed a combination. O’Neill took a step forward and missed with two punches, which allowed Shevchenko to counter with a three-punch combo. O’Neill clinched and finally secured a takedown. She struck from the top and Shevchenko pushed her off. O’Neill stood up and Shevchenko landed two upkicks. She rose to her feet and O’Neill tripped her again after catching a kick. The back-and-forth round ended with O’Neill landing punches from the top. 10-9 Shevchenko, barely.

Round 2:
After an early exchange of punches, O’Neill clinched and Shevchenko reversed it against the cage. She backed away and landed a one-two, but O’Neill answered with a lead left hook that knocked Shevchenko off-balance. O’Neill scored a takedown and she landed punches to the side of Shevchenko’s head before taking her back. O’Neill transitioned to mount with just over two minutes remaining and she scored with punches and elbows from the top. Shevchenko gave up her back and O’Neill used her punches to set up a rear-naked choke. Shevchenko defended, but she rolled to her back again and O’Neill continued to blast her with elbows. She postured up and rained down punches until referee Chris Tognoni had seen enough and stopped the fight.

Winner: Casey O’Neill by TKO (Punches) at 4:47 of round two. She improves to 8-0-0.

 

Karol Rosa vs Bethe “Pitbull” Correia

Round 1:
A one-two landed for Rosa early in the fight and she followed with two knees to the body during a brief clinch. Correia landed a right hand and Rosa responded with three more knees. Rosa landed a two-punch combo and jumped in with a flying knee to the body. Power punches were exchanged in the final 30 seconds and the round ended in a clinch. 10-9 Rosa.

Round 2:
Rosa had success with overhand rights in the second round and she attacked with a knee to the body against the cage. Correia countered with a flurry to the body, but Rosa backed her up with a barrage of punches and more knees. She kept Correia pinned against the cage and landed short strikes until Correia broke free. In the late stages of the round, Rosa landed a big elbow, then punches and knees to the body as Correia retreated to the cage wall once more. 10-9 Rosa. Could be a 10-8.

Round 3:
The final round began with Rosa landing jabs and the fighters exchanged right hooks. Rosa flurried in close and she continued to mix up her strikes with jumping knees. Correia prevented Rosa from tripping her to the mat and the fighters separated from a clinch. Rosa landed another hard knee and she held Correia against the fence again. Rosa landed a knee and an elbow, then took top position on the ground after Correia pulled guard late in the fight. 10-9 Rosa.

Winner: Karol Rosa by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 15-3-0.

 

Jamie Mullarkey vs Devonte “King Kage” Smith

Round 1:
Quick jabs were exchanged in the opening 90 seconds and Smith landed a hard overhand right. The fighters continued to jab and Smith followed with a knee and a grazing head kick. Both fighters landed combinations and Smith connected with a left hook and a leg kick. Mullarkey punched his way into a late clinch and took Smith down to a knee. Smith stood and Mullarkey landed two right hands before the bell. 10-9 Smith despite Mullarkey’s late rally.

Round 2:
Mullarkey scored with a hard leg kick early in the second round and Smith staggered momentarily. Another leg kick landed for Mullarkey and he stepped in with stiff jabs. Smith landed a right hook in return, but Mullarkey backed him up in a clinch and attacked the body with knees and punches. Two more knees landed for Mullarkey and he dropped Smith with two left hooks to the liver. Smith covered up on the ground and Mullarkey landed hammerfists until the bout was waved off.

Winner: Jamie Mullarkey by TKO (Punches) at 2:51 of round two. He improves to 14-4-0.

 

Douglas “D’Silva” Silva de Andrade vs Gaetano “El Tigre” Pirrello

Round 1:
Pirrello opened the action with a leg kick and Silva de Andrade charged forward with three overhand punches that led to a clinch against the cage. Pirrello circled away and leg kicks were exchanged. As Pirrello took a step forward, Silva de Andrade sent him flying through the air with a counter left hook. Pirrello crashed to the mat and Silva de Andrade landed a follow-up hammerfist before the fight could be stopped.

Winner: Douglas Silva de Andrade by KO (Punch) at 2:04 of round one. He improves to 27-4-0, 1 NC.

 

Stephanie Egger vs Shanna “The Shanimal” Young

Round 1:
Egger caught an early body kick and backed Young up against the cage. Young broke free, but Egger landed a nice right hand in the process. Young punched her way into a clinch, but Egger countered with a knee to the body and a headlock throw. Young scrambled from the bottom and attempted an inverted heel hook on Egger’s left ankle. Egger dropped hard right hands to Young’s face and Young released her grip on the heel hook. Egger moved to a top-side crucifix and she landed elbows to Young’s face late in the round. 10-9 Egger.

Round 2:
A fatigued Young came up short with punches in round two and Egger countered with a pair of overhand rights. She whipped Young down to the mat and landed on top in side control. Egger landed two elbows and Young got back to full guard. Egger hurt her with another elbow from the top and followed with two punches as Young covered up, prompting referee Mark Smith to wave off the fight.

Winner: Stephanie Egger by TKO (Elbow & Punches) at 2:22 of round two. She improves to 6-2-0.

 

Alejandro “Turbo” Perez vs Johnny “Pretinho” Eduardo

Round 1:
Eduardo landed leg kicks in the opening minute and Perez tried to find his range with jabs. Eduardo continued to score with leg kicks and the fighters traded punches near the midway point in the round. Perez cracked Eduardo with a lead left hook and Eduardo resumed throwing leg and body kicks from a distance. Perez landed a leg kick of his own and another lead left hook. He missed with a spinning backfist attempt before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Eduardo.

Round 2:
The second round began with Eduardo landing a leg kick that spun Perez around. He continued to attack Perez’s leg with kicks and Perez darted in with an overhand right. Eduardo caught a knee and took Perez down to the mat. Perez worked back to his feet and both men landed big right hands. Perez scored a takedown and he postured up with elbows and punches, then hunted for a guillotine choke as Eduardo tried to get back to his feet. Eduardo dropped to his back in order to escape and a brief scramble ensued. Perez wound up on top in side control and he quickly moved to the scarf hold position. Within seconds, Perez trapped Eduardo in a scarf hold armlock and Eduardo tapped out.

Winner: Alejandro Perez by Submission (Scarf Hold Armlock) at 4:13 of round two. He improves to 22-8-1.
