Anderson “Berinja” dos Santos vs Martin “The Spartan” Day

Round 1:
Day scored with chopping leg kicks and a right hand in the opening minute. Dos Santos closed the distance and he cracked Day with a hard flurry before clinching and taking his back. Day eventually turned into the clinch and dos Santos slammed him down to the mat. Dos Santos passed from half-guard to side control, but Day battled back to butterfly guard and he used it to kick dos Santos off. Day stood up and slammed dos Santos down, but he put himself in a guillotine choke in the process. Dos Santos tightened his guard and maintained the choke until Day tapped out.

Winner: Anderson dos Santos by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 4:35 of round one. He improves to 21-8-0.

 

Gina “Danger” Mazany vs Rachael Ostovich

Round 1:
Ostovich landed an early body kick and Mazany answered back with a hard left hand. That led to an exchange of punches and Mazany took Ostovich down into back control. Ostovich tried to shake her off, but Mazany maintained the position and she struck from the back while looking to set up a rear-naked choke. Ostovich was able to scramble free and the fighters returned to their feet. Ostovich landed another body kick and she countered Mazany’s left hands with overhand rights. Mazany clinched and threw knees to Ostovich’s legs until Ostovich broke free and circled away. In the final minute, Ostovich countered Mazany’s forward pressure with short left hooks and a right cross. Mazany kicked to the body and closed out the round with a straight left hand. 10-9 Mazany.

Round 2:
Mazany fought through right hands from Ostovich and took her down to the mat in the second round. She briefly held back control, but Ostovich rolled over and she attacked with armbar attempts and a triangle choke from the bottom. Mazany escaped into side control and she moved to North-South position. She tried for a North-South choke, but Ostovich impressively countered by kicking off of the canvas with her legs and taking Mazany’s back in the process. The fighters scrambled up to their feet and Mazany secured a takedown into mount. Ostovich gave up her back once more and stood up, only to be taken down again. Late in the round, Ostovich rose to her feet and both women landed punches before the bell. 10-9 Mazany.

Round 3:
Mazany closed the distance right away in the final round and she worked for a takedown against the cage. Ostovich defended well and stayed on her feet. She broke free from the clinch and Mazany chased after her with overhand lefts. Ostovich answered with a right hook and an elbow before fighting off a Mazany clinch. Mazany closed in once more and she took Ostovich down into mount. Mazany postured up with elbows and Ostovich gave up her back. She worked back up to her feet against the cage and Mazany hurt her with a body kick. Ostovich dropped to her knees and Mazany dove in with punches. Ostovich got back to her feet and Mazany dropped her with a liver kick to end the fight.

Winner: Gina Mazany by KO (Kick To The Body) at 4:10 of round three. She improves to 7-4-0.

 

Su “Tibetan Eagle” Mudaerji vs Malcolm “X” Gordon

Round 1:
Mudaerji attacked Gordon’s lead leg with kicks early on and he hurt him with a left cross. Gordon stumbled to the side and Mudaerji wobbled him again with three more straight left hands. A right hook to the temple dropped Gordon face-first to the mat and he covered up as Mudaerji landed two more punches before the brief fight was waved off.

Winner: Su Mudaerji by KO (Punches) at 0:44 of round one. He improves to 13-4-0.

 

Joseph Nathan “Mayhem” Maness vs “Cool Hand” Luke Sanders

Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks in the opening minute and Maness countered a body kick from Sanders with a hard right cross. He followed with a combination and both men landed big punches before briefly clinching against the cage. Sanders circled away and he resumed kicking at Maness’s lead leg. Two head kicks partially landed for Sanders and Maness responded with a one-two in close. Sanders chased after him with left hands and clinched, but Maness tripped him and hopped on Sanders’s back as Sanders stood up. Sanders shook Maness off and he pressed forward with two punches and a body kick. With 30 seconds to go, Sanders teed off with a heavy flurry of punches, but Maness covered up and circled away from Sanders’s power shots. 10-9 Sanders.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange of hard punches right away and Maness dropped Sanders to a knee with a counter right. Sanders stood and both men continued to throw big combinations. Sanders backed Maness up and he stunned him with a flurry against the cage. Maness circled away once, but Sanders chased after him and continued to attack with punches. Maness dropped him with a left-right combo and he dove in with more punches on the ground. Sanders gave up his back and Maness locked on a rear-naked choke for the tapout win.

Winner: Joseph Nathan Maness by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:29 of round two. He improves to 13-1-0.
