Miguel “Caramel Thunder” Baeza vs Matt “The Immortal” Brown

Round 1:
Baeza landed a lead left hook and two leg kicks early on, but Brown continued to press forward and he landed a nice flurry. Seconds later, Brown knocked Baeza’s mouthpiece out with a huge right hook and he followed up with more punches. Baeza stayed on his feet against the cage and jabbed in return. Time was called to replace Baeza’s mouthpiece. Action resumed and Baeza landed a hard one-two and a leg kick. Brown countered with four big punches that appeared to stun Baeza, but Baeza scored a knockdown with a counter right hook. Brown battled back up to his feet and Baeza landed a nice one-two. He lunged forward with three more punches at the bell. Crazy round. 10-9 Baeza, but not by much.

Round 2:
After a brief exchange in round two, Baeza floored Brown with a lead left hook and referee Jason Herzog dove in to stop the fight just as Baeza landed a diving left hand on the ground.

Winner: Miguel Baeza by KO (Punch) at 0:18 of round two. He improves to 9-0-0.

 

Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland vs Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez

Round 1:
Holland landed a big right hand and a side kick to begin the fight and he followed with a right hand in close. After landing an elbow in a clinch, Holland dropped Hernandez with two knees to the body and he landed left hands as Hernandez turtled until the brief bout was stopped.

Winner: Kevin Holland by TKO (Knees To The Body & Punches) at 0:39 of round one. He improves to 17-5-0.

 

Giga Chikadze vs Irwin “The Beast” Rivera

Round 1:
Rivera was very aggressive in the opening minute and he jumped in with a left hook and a flying knee. Chikadze countered with right hands and leg kicks while maintaining his composure. He followed with a body kick and a step-in knee as Rivera slowed down slightly. Chikadze continued to score with leg kicks as the round came to a close. 10-9 Chikadze.

Round 2:
Chikadze used his reach advantage to keep Rivera at bay in round two while landing more kicks to Rivera’s legs. Rivera closed in with a combination, but Chikadze fought off a takedown attempt and scored with right hands and a question mark kick. Rivera began to bleed heavily from the nose and Chikadze targeted it with jabs and a knee. Rivera landed a left hook and walked into another knee. The fighters traded punches late in the round. 10-9 Chikadze.

Round 3:
Chikadze dropped Rivera with a knee to begin the final round, but Rivera immediately returned to his feet and both men landed looping punches. Chikadze briefly slammed Rivera down, but Rivera exploded up to his feet and he pressed forward again. Chikadze landed another knee and followed soon after with a head kick. Rivera continued to walk forward and Chikadze landed a hard body kick. Rivera missed with a wild hook and Chikadze chased after him with uppercuts and a knee. Chikadze landed more punches and avoided a tornado kick. Chikadze missed with a somersault kick attempt and fell, which allowed Rivera to finish the round on top. 10-9 Chikadze.

Winner: Giga Chikadze by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 10-2-0.

 

Nate “The Train” Landwehr vs Darren “The Damage” Elkins

Round 1:
Following an early striking exchange, Elkins took Landwehr down into half-guard and he attacked with a guillotine choke in a scramble. Landwehr scrambled up to his feet and escaped from Elkins’s grasp. Landwehr cut Elkins near the right eye with an inadvertent headbutt and he walked him down with more punches. Elkins briefly clinched and Landwehr punched his way free. Elkins closed in again with punches and Landwehr answered with a combination before the end of the close round. 10-9 Elkins by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Elkins ducked into an uppercut from Landwehr in the second round and Landwehr had more success with right hooks while fighting off Elkins’s takedown attempts. Elkins jabbed and landed overhand rights as Landwehr continued to walk him down. Landwehr landed more right hands and Elkins kicked to the body. Landwehr fought off another takedown attempt and he landed hard knees in close. Landwehr cut Elkins near the left eye with right hands and he followed with a step-in elbow. Time was called to check on Elkins’s cuts, including a third one in the middle of his forehead from the elbow strike. Action resumed and a bloodied Elkins pressed forward with a one-two before the bell. 10-9 Landwehr.

Round 3:
Elkins closed the distance and tried for a takedown in the final round, but Landwehr defended and he landed short punches that further opened the cut on Elkins’s forehead. Elkins remained the aggressor and he landed lead left hooks and combinations despite the blood pouring down his face. Landwehr used short right hands to counter Elkins’s pressure and takedown attempts. The fighters traded big power punches in the final minute of the fight and Landwehr landed hard right hands. Elkins was unfazed and continued to press forward, but Landwehr countered effectively until the end of the spirited fight. 10-9 Landwehr.

Winner: Nate Landwehr by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 14-3-0.

 

Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey vs Mara “Maravilla” Romero Borella

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of punches and Borella held Casey against the cage. She tripped Casey to the mat and punched from the top, but Casey countered with a triangle choke and an armbar from the bottom. She wrenched back on Borella’s left arm and Borella tapped out while in great pain.

Winner: Cortney Casey by Submission (Armbar) at 3:36 of round one. She improves to 9-7-0.

 

Rodrigo “Zé Colméia” Nascimento Ferreira vs Don’Tale “Lord Kong” Mayes

Round 1:
Both men landed heavy leg kicks in the opening minute and Nascimento punched his way into a clinch. Mayes reversed position and he broke free from the clinch with a grazing elbow. Nascimento jabbed and Mayes just missed with a spinning backfist. He followed with a liver kick and Nascimento punched his way in close again. He took Mayes down and struck from the top in Mayes’s half-guard. Nascimento postured up with a left hand and Mayes used the opportunity to scramble up to his feet before the bell. 10-9 Nascimento.

Round 2:
Nascimento opened the second round with more leg kicks and he followed with a head kic,, but Mayes fired back with a quick flurry. A clinch battle ensued and Nascimento secured a trip takedown into top position. He immediately transitioned to back control and locked on a quick rear-naked choke that forced Mayes to submit.

Winner: Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:05 of round two. He improves to 8-0-0.
