Bethe “Pitbull” Correia vs Jessica “Evil” Eye

Round 1:
Eye threw right hands in the opening minute, but Correia kept her distance and countered with leg kicks. Straight rights landed for both women and Correia countered an overhand right with a lead left hook. Eye flurried with punches until Correia initiated a clinch against the fence. She threw knees to Eye’s thighs, but was not able to take her down. Close round. 10-9 Eye.

Round 2:
Eye established her jab in round two and Correia’s nose began to bleed. Both women landed straight right hands and Eye continued to score with stiff jabs. Correia answered with hooks and leg kicks. Eye landed a right hook and a head kick, but Correia opened a cut below her right eye with counterpunches. Eye stunned her with a three-punch combo and Correia backed up. She recovered and pressed forward with hard jabs that led to a very brief clinch. Eye circled away and landed an overhand right before the bell. 10-9 Eye.

Round 3:
Both women were cautious in the final round and little transpired until Correia landed a solid right hand near the two-minute mark. She kept Eye at a distance with leg kicks and avoided most of Eye’s punches. A one-two connected for Correia and she snapped Eye’s head back with an overhand right. Correia backed Eye up with a lead left hook and held her against the cage. The fight ended with an exchange of knees to the body and elbows. 10-9 Correia.

Winner: Bethe Correia by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. She improves to 10-2-0.

 

Brad Tavares vs Caio “Hellboy” Magalhães

Round 1:
The opening round began with a cautious exchange of leg kicks as the fighters struck from a distance. Tavares stuffed a takedown and the fighters clinched against the fence. Tavares broke free and Magalhães landed a body kick. Another clinch ensued and both men landed knees to the body. Uneventful round. 10-9 Magalhães.

Round 2:
More kicks were exchanged in round two, but neither fighter committed to any sustained offence. Tavares held Magalhães against the fence and threw short knees to the thighs. The fighters separated and Magalhães landed a hard kick to the liver. He shot in for a takedown and briefly took Tavares down after avoiding a guillotine choke. 10-10.

Round 3:
Tavares clinched after trading leg kicks with Magalhães early in the final round, but Magalhães reversed position and held him against the cage. He pulled guard with a guillotine choke, but Tavares pulled his head free and the fighters stood up. Tavares wobbled Magalhães with an overhand right and a jumping knee. Big punches were exchanged and both men narrowly missed with looping hooks. Magalhães landed a lead left hand and Tavares knocked him off-balance with a Superman Punch. He countered a Magalhães flurry with another flying knee. 10-9 Tavares.

Winner: Brad Tavares by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 14-4-0.

 

Nik “The Carny” Lentz vs Michael McBride

Round 1:
Lentz stunned McBride with punches early on and he followed with a powerful knee as McBride dropped levels for a takedown. The fighters stood and Lentz suplexed McBride to the mat. McBride attempted a leglock from the bottom and threw punches from his back. Lentz took McBride’s back and then transitioned to a guillotine choke. He gave that up and punched from the top. McBride refused to let go of Lentz’s leg, but Lentz punished him with punches and took his back again. 10-9 Lentz.

Round 2:
McBride punched his way into a clinch and briefly took Lentz’s back on the ground in round two. Lentz scrambled and locked on a guillotine choke, which he used to stand back up. He took McBride’s back and worked for rear-naked chokes. McBride defended well and tried to scramble, but Lentz maintained back control. In the final minute, he flattened McBride out and teed off with punches until the bout was stopped.

Winner: Nik Lentz by TKO (Punches) at 4:17 of round two. He improves to 29-7-2, 1 NC.

 

Drew Dober vs Jason “Nicoyas” Gonzalez

Round 1:
Both men landed left hands right away and Dober followed with leg kicks. He backed Gonzalez up against the cage, but Gonzalez broke free. Time was called after Gonzalez was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Dober swarmed on Gonzalez with power punches. He badly rocked Gonzalez with a flurry and sent him crashing to the mat with a five three-punch flurry that ended the fight.

Winner: Drew Dober by KO (Punches) at 1:45 of round one. He improves to 17-7-0, 1 NC.

 

Undercard Fight:

– Yancy “The Kid” Medeiros defeated Sean “Black Magic” Spencer by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 0:49 of round two. He improves to 13-4-0, 1 NC with the win.
