Nikita “The Miner” Krylov vs Ed “Short Fuse” Herman

Round 1:
Krylov opened the action with kick-punch combos and he followed with a spinning back kick to the liver. Another combination and a knee landed for Krylov as he pinned Herman against the fence. Herman circled away and Krylov landed kicks to the upper body. The fighters traded one-twos and Herman took Krylov down. Krylov scrambled up and hurt Herman with a head kick. He landed a barrage of punches and knees in close, but Herman stayed on his feet. His left eye swelled up and Krylov targeted it with punches. More head and body kicks landed for Krylov late in the round. 10-9 Krylov.

Round 2:
Krylov put together combinations of punches and head kicks in round two. Herman responded with knees and Krylov landed one of his own. Seconds later, he floored Herman with a devastating head kick and the bout was immediately waved off.

Winner: Nikita Krylov by KO (Head Kick) at 0:40 of round two. He improves to 21-4-0.

 

Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal vs Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson

Round 1:
The fighters traded lead left hooks and jabs in the opening minute and Masvidal darted in and out with right hands. Pearson looked to set up combinations and Masvidal drilled him with a head kick and a knee. Pearson caught a jumping kick and dumped Masvidal to the mat. Masvidal stood with Pearson on his back. He turned into a clinch and punished Pearson with knees to the body and elbows to the face. Pearson broke free and landed a leg kick, but Masvidal mixed up his strikes well with body kicks and right hands. He landed a one-two and a liver kick late in the round. 10-9 Masvidal.

Round 2:
Pearson targeted Masvidal’s lead leg with kicks in the second round, but Masvidal countered with crisp punches and he floored Pearson with a left hook. Masvidal dove in with more strikes on the ground, but he was unable to finish Pearson off and he battled back to his feet. Pearson pressed forward with body kicks, but Masvidal snapped his head back with jabs and counter right hands. Pearson scored a brief takedown and Masvidal quickly regained his footing. The fighters exchanged left hooks in the final 40 seconds. 10-9 Masvidal. Could be a 10-8.

Round 3:
Masvidal picked his shots with lead left hooks and uppercuts in the final round. Both men landed body kicks and Masvidal stayed outside of Pearson’s punching range. He scored with a nice one-two as Pearson pressed forward. Masvidal’s leg turned dark red from the force of Pearson’s frequent inside-leg kicks, but he continued to get the better of the punching exchanges. Pearson landed a leg kick and Masvidal responded with one to the body. 10-9 Masvidal.

Winner: Jorge Masvidal by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 30-11-0.

 

Anthony “Freight Train” Hamilton vs Damian “The Polish Pitbull” Grabowski

Round 1:
Big punches were exchanged right away and Hamilton hurt Grabowski with right hooks and uppercuts. Grabowski ducked forward and Hamilton unloaded with uppercuts until an unconscious Grabowski collapsed face-first to the canvas.

Winner: Anthony Hamilton by KO (Punches) at 0:14 of round one. He improves to 15-5-0.

 

Wilson Reis vs Hector “Kid Alex” Sandoval

Round 1:
Sandoval repeatedly tagged Reis with punches in the opening 30 seconds, but Reis countered with a takedown and he took Sandoval’s back. Sandoval scrambled up to his feet and Reis took him down again. Sandoval briefly swept into top position, but Reis transitioned to back control once again. He flattened Sandoval out and locked on a rear-naked choke. Sandoval could not escape and tapped out.

Winner: Wilson Reis by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:49 of round one. He improves to 21-6-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Michael Graves and Bojan “Serbian Steel” Velickovic fought to a Majority Draw (30-27, 28-28, 28-28) after three rounds. Graves moves to 6-0-1, while Velickovic is now 14-3-1.

– Damien “Beatdown” Brown defeated Cesar “Goku” Arzamendia by KO (Punches) at 2:27 of round one. He improves to 16-9-0 with the win.
